BULACAN AGRICULTURAL STATE COLLEGE

LOCATION AND ACCESSSIBILITY
The Bulacan Agricultural State College (BASC) is located in San Ildefonso, Bulacan, 66 kilometers north of Metro Manila. It lies along a Municipal Road, immediately connected to the Manila-Cagayan Valley national road where several land transportation companies ply their route.

A BRIEF HISTORY
The Bulacan Agricultural State College started as a Community Agricultural School in Barrio Bintog, Plaridel, Bulacan in 1952. It operated with a budget of P 14,000.00 under the Division of Schools of the Province. About 100 students were enrolled then. The succeeding year, since the students were not only residents of the municipality of Plaridel, it was decided that the school be renamed Bulacan Provincial High School.

In 1955, by virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 163,200 hectares of land was allocated for the school, located at Barangay Pinaod, San Ildefonso, Bulacan. The student population increased to 200, and additional school buildings were constructed. Thus, the school name was change into Bulacan National Agricultural School (BuNAS) by virtue of Republic Act No.948 in June 6, 1952.

In 1960, the College Department was established and started with a 2-year Associate in Agriculture (A.A) subsequently; courses leading to baccalaureate degree (BSA), major in Agronomy and Animal Husbandry were offered.
