Connecting to Wired ResNet using Windows 7.
The ResNet network uses an encryption method called 802.1x to secure your connection to the network. It offers a much safer connection than an unencrypted open network. Windows 7 has support for wired 802.1x but it is not enabled by default. This guide will lead you through configuring your computer and connecting to the wired ResNet service. To carry out these connection changes you will be required to be logged into the laptop with administrator rights.
