In “Read and Write like a College Freshman” Holschuh a professor himself, talks about his personal experiences of going back and retaking undergraduate freshman-level courses in order to understand the tasks that freshmen go through of learning in collect. Although he was interested in understanding the general tasks his main focus was on the literacy tasks that students were asked to do. His goal was to do an entire semester of freshman courses such as Economics, Spanish, Geography, and Political Science. At the same time he must completely every required and optional assignment that students were asked to complete.
