SHF’s country hams warehousing and cold storage facilities. They have a one-ton pick up truck that is equipped with a freezer box to make the delivery to their customers; however, the two best employees and salespeople of SHF do the deliveries. They make the deliveries in person and put all the products with their own hands into the customers’ freezers.
Third, the promotional strategy that SHF has go along is by having full-time salespersons. These salespersons are trained to communicate with their prospect customers. Whenever a call is made, he should meet up with the customer for almost two hours informing the customer about the packages offered and to be able to do so, each salesperson has a three-ring binder that contains all the information needed for a sales presentation. They also use the mass-selling technique where they relied on posting an advertisement in a local newspaper and giving away $10.
In terms of SHF’s competitive region, they never had a competitor nearby because the larger, food company called Southern Foods of Greensboro NC operate in North Carolina and other states don’t target the Ashton Area. What makes things better is that Smith’s Home Foods is the existence of Smith’s country hams.

This is a picture tutorial recipe with a printable version at the end of the post. Also at the end of the post is a list of where to buy the tools and ingredients so you can make this recipe yourself at home. Enjoy! Ingredients: * 2 green plantains (check your local Hispanic market, farmer's market, and sometimes chain grocery store to find them) * cooking fat (coconut oil**, lard, bacon** grease, ghee**, or palm shortening**) * tostonera  (tostone press)** or meat tenderizing mallet with flat edge** * coarse sea salt** * chopped fresh cilantro, for garnish First, you have to peel the plantains. They are NOT like bananas. You'll just make a mess and frustrate yourself if you try to peel them like a banana. Cut off both tips and then slice the peel down the length of the plantain on one or two sides. Then, you can remove the peel, but know that it will usually come off in pieces. Slice each plantain crosswise into discs about 3/4" to 1" wide. Heat about 1/4" of a good cooking oil like coconut oil**, lard, bacon** grease, ghee**, or palm shortening** in a large...

Got Passage for Reading

...Volantis straddled one mouth of the Rhoyne where the river kissed the sea, its two halves joined by the Long Bridge. The oldest, richest part of the city was east of the river, but sellswords, barbarians, and other uncouth outlanders were not welcome there, so they must needs cross over to the west. The gateway to the Long Bridge was a black stone arch carved with sphinxes, manticores, dragons, and creatures stranger still. Beyond the arch stretched the great span that the Valyrians had built at the height of their glory, its fused stone roadway supported by massive piers. The road was just wide enough for two carts to pass abreast, so whenever a wagon headed west passed one going east, both had to slow to a crawl. It was well they were afoot. A third of the way out, a wagon laden with melons had gotten its wheels tangled with one piled high with silken carpets and brought all wheeled traffic to a halt. Much of the foot traffic had stopped as well, to watch the drivers curse and scream at one another, but the knight grabbed hold of Tyrion’s chain and bulled a path through the throng for both of them. In the middle of the press, a boy tried to reach into his purse, but a hard elbow put an end to that and spread the thief’s bloody nose across half his face. “Only one man in a thousand is born a skinchanger,” Lord Brynden said one day, after Bran had learned to fly, “and only one skinchanger in a thousand can be a greenseer.” “I thought the greenseers were the wizards...

Issues: * Increasing trend towards less fatty and salty meats that are more health conscious. * Increasing demand for easy to cook and quick meals that can satisfy the needs of working and busy moms. The report by McTieran corporation suggests that OM is not making a sufficient effort to offer healthier snack options as hot dogs and red meat products are becoming less popular. As suggested by the case the 5 year Annual Per Capita Pounds data of white and red meat. White meat has had an overall increase in sales of 33.73% in the past 5 years whereas red meat has decreased by (7.28%) Diagnosis: The decrease in red meat sales means that OM is having difficulties reaching its 4% annual growth rate target. McGraw must therefore decide how to reach this goal while addressing the loss of sales. Further complicating the issue is the other brand of Louis Rich white meats which has had increasing overall sales of 10.9% in the past year. ...Pig production The primary purpose of pig farming is the production of meat, including pork and bacon. If the bacon industry is to thrive, factories must receive pigs of the right type. In order to improve the level of pig production, the use of fine types and feed, the implementation of strict epidemic prevention system and using high quality facilities for the effective control of the environment are necessary. The questions of how to improve the technological content of feed pig at each steps and conversion of fodder mainly consist in raising high quality pigs. In pig production 2 phases of production are recognized: (1) sow farms (breeding and rearing); and (2) fattening farms (growing and finishing). The steps in these two farms include mating, pregnancy, childbirth, lactating piglets, and fattening. Excellent breed accomplished through thorough breeding system which base on breeding, rearing and fattening farms. The ideal result of using this system is promotion productivity by transferring the genetic improvement results of the core group to commodity production with uniform breeding program. (Fishwick, 1965) Pig production patterns are diverse, space can be divided three categories in accordance with the activities of lactating sows which are intensive pig farming, semi- intensive pig farming and free range pig farming. 3 Lab Created Pigs

...Their intelligence allowed them to remain off the breakfast menu. One pig built a house with straw as he calculated the material to be the least inexpensive in nature. The second pig created his house with sticks formulating the idea that he could grow the material needed for the build. The third pig who was created just a tad bit more special constructed a house using Vanadium metal as its properties allow for higher thermal resistance and durability. Within the same lab those pigs were created in, a failed genetically enhanced wolf escaped. It was by fate that these pigs should encounter this wolf. When the first pig caught glimpse of the foul creature, he fled inside his straw house. The wolf cried, “Come out pig so I can turn you into bacon!” The wolf inhaled deeply and created a space like vacuum in his belly and exhaled a powerful wind blast towards the first pig’s house rendering it incapacitated. The first pig ran inside the second pig’s house. The wolf walked to the second pig’s house with a grimace expression and without hesitation hurled his grotesque acid based saliva at the second pig’s house. The pigs escaped to the third pig’s house as the first house was blown away and the second incinerated. Again, the wolf in rage launched a full scale attack blasting and spitting only to see the third pig’s house unscathed. The wolf exploited the third pig’s house and found a weak spot. He then ‘wind blasted’ his way through and upon leaping inside does he find himself in the...

Oscar Mayer

...Selecting a preferred alternative In selecting a preferred alternative, many considerations need to be taken. First of all, the customers are the individuals who keep the company operating therefore customer trends are very important when making decisions. The new healthy trends demanding nutritious meat products are what need to drive Oscar Mayer into making decisions. By improving their product lines, they will not only satisfy consumer demand but encourage company growth, potential and profits in the long run. The preferred alternative would be to reinvigorate their meat products by working along with Turkey Time as suggested by Jane Morely. This is how they can introduce turkey bacon, turkey ham and other products which are low in calorie and very healthy for the customers who want to keep up with trends to not only eat healthy but stay healthy. This will then bring into the effect proposed company growth which will allow them to take their place in the market and improve their financial position. Recommendations After reading the case study and doing further research on Oscar Mayer there are many recommendations that would benefit the company. An important recommendation would be for them not the change their brand as it is widely recognized and popular in the American cold cut and meat market. Their brand has been in the market for years and incorporating a new brand would not have the same effect on customers since they already have trust and faithfulness to...

Shoule Women Be Educated?

...For thousands of years, women are thought to be the appendage of men. They are treated unfairly by the society. It is luck to be the women in the 21st century since women get more rights than any time before. Nowadays, although it is still unfair for women in certain part, women can get educated, and go to work as men do. Some people would think why should women be educated if they are only going to marry, have babies and stay at home? In my opinion, women should be educated to manage their marriage well, improve the quality of life, and be stronger in case something bad happen. First, women with educated can run their marriage well. They get more respect from their husbands. They have the same knowledge as their husbands do, so they get more rights to speak out their opinion. Moreover, women with educated can take good care of their children. They can tutor children’s study. They know the children’s psychological needs than the mothers with little educated. For example, in my family, my mother got good educated, while my father don’t. My brother and I know mother is the head of our family. She take care us in daily life, and comfort us when we are sad. However, our father don’t know how to deal with us, he just know he should blame us when we did something wrong. Second, women with educated can improve the quality of the family life. Termination of Case Study

...Termination of Case Management CJHS/420 May 25, 2015 Case management offers the potential for customized services, coordination, and a coherent, comprehensive approach to the problems of clients. It is not a magic bullet. The reality is that an effective case management effort is tough and time-consuming to implement. Whatever form it takes (and it takes many forms), case management is more likely to pave the way for valuable, but incremental, improvements in services rather than wholesale change. Case managers serve as surrogate parents, role models, counselors, social entrepreneurs, and political advocates. They nag, cajole, prod, and encourage clients. They pressure institutions to act responsibly or lubricate the gears between institutions. They make referrals, and monitor client fit. They deal with the client’s family life, work and school; social services and public institutions. They alter client behaviors strengthen client capacity to exercise self-determination and autonomy. With all those responsibilities, there is till the process of terminating case management services and providing the client with independent care for growth. Termination of case management services is appropriate on many occasions and may occur for a variety of reasons. In addition to procedures to insure a client’s due process rights, the case manager will use an assortment of skills to help the client successfully separate from the relationship. English Literature

...Francis Bacon: A Moralist Bacon is not a true moralist. His morality is a saleable morality. He is a moralist-cum-worldly wise man. Bacon appears as a moralist in his essays, for he preaches high moral principles and lays down valuable guidelines for human conduct. Some of his essays show him as a true lover and preacher of high ethical codes and conducts. For instance, in “Of Envy”, he puts: “A man that hath no virtue in himself, ever envieth virtue in others.” Then, in his essay “Of Goodness and Goodness of Nature” he says: “But in charity there is no excess; neither can angel or man come in danger by it.” Again, he appears to be a lover of justice in his essay “Of Judicature”: “The principal duty of a judge is to suppress force and fraud.” In spite of all given examples, one cannot deny the fact that Bacon was a “Man of Renaissance”. He had a deep insight in human nature. He knew that man is naturally more prone to evil than good. He was a clear-eyed realist who saw the weakness in human nature and drawbacks of human conduct and also knew that man is not capable of acting according to noble set of ‘ideals’. Though Bacon’s morality was greater than that of average man’s, yet it was not of the highest order. The matter of good and right was important for him but not if it proved too costly in worldly terms. On one hand, he preached high moral principles and on the other hand, he also expressed a mean capacity by compromising upon those morals for the sake...
