All throughout history different people have faced the “cycle of the ism.” People faced it in very early times with racism, which was a cause of slavery in our early history. Homophobia is one of the many “isms” that our world is faced with today. Homophobia is the fear or prejudice of homosexual or “gay” people. It is wrong and we need to make an effort to stop the prejudice. People are faced with this every day all around the world in Russia, Iran, and even a pro homosexual marriage country like the United States of America. “No one should have to suffer at the hands of someone else's intolerance,” (Amanda Chatel).
