...example, the preschool teachers at Temple Dor Dorim’s early childhood center have three days a year they have “teacher work days.” During those days they have a meeting which teachers them different ways to teacher their classes. The reason why they have three days like that is because they have three different age levels: toddlers, nursery, and pre-k. Each meeting one level “teaches” the others how they do their daily routine. When you form new teams, sometime you need ice breakers. Some easy icebreakers are the circle pass and the human knot. The circle pass is when you have everyone stand up and create a circle. Then you have everyone hold hands. Next you give them a hula-hoop and put it around a set of people holding hands. What the group does after they are set up, they have to make the hula hoop go around the whole circle with out anyone breaking the circle. The human knot is when you have everyone randomly grab hand is a group. Then they have to unknot...

...Prof. Adam Pfleegor Professional Enhancement Response July 2, 2012 Reflection Paper Response to “Hoop Dreams” Many things in this documentary stood out to me involving the culture of this ethnic group in Chicago. The people’s lives covered in this film were portrayed to be extremely simple, but complex. The film provided public exposure to the myriad problems of race, poverty, parenting concerns, coaching motives, and the amount of emphasis a young black gentleman places on sport. Encompassed by all of these issues was always disregard for one another, as well. Throughout the whole film, I could not help but notice the painful trend of negligence and carelessness towards black individuals. This black culture addressed in the Chicago area didn’t seem to give one another much value either. For some reason there is a lack of motivation to succeed early on unless it is sport. The parents do not seem to enforce a positive work ethic, honesty, and respect. It is no wonder that there was so much violence, drugs, premature pregnancy, and academic drop-outs. From generation to generation in that community, parents fail to teach their children high standards. It could be that children are raising children, which was the issue in William Gates case. In addition, if all they know is basketball growing up and before they reach 16 years old they have a baby on the way, they surely didn’t have enough time to retain anything in their short life before parenthood other...

...Project Task-List CMGT/410 8 August 2013 Myrna Bravo Introduction We would like to thank the staff of PC World in taking the time to learn the new Point of Sales system. The system is much more modern than our last system that the company had and therefore all the users will need the proper training on its current functions. Within the Microsoft Project file you will find each step of the training session to include the preparation. The purpose of this memo is to explain each step along the way. Preparation The initial planning of the meeting will take some extra preparation. The next couple of days will entail gathering information that is necessary on the training staff that will be needed for the two days of training. The Human Resources department will be responsible for providing the list. Along with the preparation we also need to look at the facilities that will be available for the company to use. The list should be reviewed within a timely manner to narrow down the possibilities and setting one location for the accommodations and training room. There are some venues that has helped the company out before so it would be best to reach out to them again and see if they possibly would have any openings. The IT department will be responsible for creating a list of all necessary hardware which will be needed for the training session, during this period. ...have had is re-organizing my agenda to be able to assign time for class work. I am forfeiting a little bit of time in those two departments to make time for school. Deciding priorities is done so in a manner of importance. I make a mental list of things I need to complete ranging from top priority to not so important. For instance I rate grocery shopping higher on the list than getting my nails done, or paying rent supersedes paying for college books. Some decisions are more difficult than others but if I can identify its importance I can place it in my mental list. Prioritizing school is as simple as making a plan, rating it in my mental list, and then doing the task. If I implement what I just mentioned school will be a breeze with limited sacrifice and stress. This will result in a higher GPA and will have a "snowball" effect and motivate me to continue to improve as a student. This topic was one that I needed to revisit. I have gone on with my life in a hectic manner and needed to be reminded of the fundamentals of priorities and how that translates into success. My main take away from this topic is obvious but still vital. I will rate events in my head then find an accurate place to put them on my mental list. I think if I can do...

...Prakriti Khanal Mr. Andrew Young ENG 111 1/24/2014 “Memories play a confusing role. They make me laugh when I remember the time I cried together! But make me cry when I remember the time I laughed together. They too can make me mad but, for sure, no matter what emotion they carry, they all share a place deep in my heart.” Every moment, when I recall them in my mind, they appear to be fresh. I cannot make myself believe that I already passed those times and will never be in the same time again. A chill runs down my spine awaking all my senses till date when I remember them. I especially remember the time when I was able to make my whole family proud of me. That was the time when I saw my own future as I had wished that to be. Every time I think of it, it takes me on a voyage of happy moments. In my whole life; it is uncountable how many happy moments that I’ve gone through since I was small. Happy moments are something that made us very happy and it is unforgettable. It will never be erased out of our mind and we will always remind of it for the rest of our life. It might happen daily, weekly, monthly and even annually but it really happened. It makes us smile to the ears and sometimes it tears us down. I just can’t imagine how it feels if we don’t experienced all those happy moments. I was staring at the stars shining in the sky. The city was dark due to the scheduled power outage. People in city were in their mid-sleep but I was standing...

...1. Review the list of factors that may contribute to building positive brand equity (list one). Which factors do you think would be the main contributors to a firm’s brand equity? 1. Product range 2. Relative product quality 3. Word-of-mouth 4. Social ‘status’ of the product 5. Visibility of the product 6. Market share (extent of popularity) 7. Success of new products 8. Target markets 9. Competitive set 2. Now review the second list of brand equity benefits. Which ones do you consider to be the main benefits? 1. Increased sales 2. Price premium 3. Significant competitive advantage 10. Point-of-sale merchandise uptake 11. Easier market development 12. Stable cash flow and easier planning 3. Looking at the two lists, do you think that there is a relationship between the two? That is, does a strength/performance in one list contribute to a better result for a similar factor in the other list? (Example, a strong brand can be built by social media, yet strong brands will generally have a greater social media presence and uptake.) Yes, I imagine that there is a relationship between the two records. According to my perspective I surmise that is does quality in one rundown add to a superior result for a comparable...

The percentage of original list items and unrelated lures I reported were similar to the group data. I reported 85.714% of the original list items and the mean percentage was 80.839% for the group data. Also, I reported 6.250% of the unrelated lures and the mean percentage was 5.087% for the group data. In both of these categories, my results are within at least 5% of the group results. ...altered just by simple suggestion. I practiced this experiment on my wife and seven children. Every person circled the word “snow” no matter what list they studied from. I considered the possibility that their thoughts were about the weather due to the rain and cold temperatures from that day. I decided to wait a few days before trying the experiment on the actual volunteers, eager for improved weather conditions. Our local church was having a meeting with many of its members. I waited for the meeting to finish and asked if four people would be willing to volunteer to participate in a research project. I asked the four volunteers to have a seat and patiently to do this experiment one person at a time. I brought the first volunteer into a separate room and explained the consent form and informed them that this was a simple memory test and there would be no harm to them, however there may be some slight deception. I also expressed their answers and identity will remain confident. The volunteers were informed the experiment would only take about five minutes of their time and if they still willing to participate we can get started. I gave the person the list to study and informed them they would have one minute to study the list before moving on to the second stage. I set a timer for one minute. Once done, I removed the list and handed them the math page and informed them that there is no right or wrong answers and to do their best to answer and...

...his anticipation of being done with it all—professors, exams, problem sets, grades, group meetings, all-nighters . . . The list could go on and on. The fear stems from the fact that he is graduating in December and has only four months to find a job. Brent is a little unsure about how he should approach the job search. During his sophomore and junior years, he had certainly heard seniors talking about their strategies for finding the perfect job, and he knows that he should first visit the Campus Career Planning Center to devise a search plan. On September 1, the first day of school, he walks through the doors of the Campus Career PlanningCenter and meets Elizabeth Merryweather, a recent graduate overflowing with energy and comforting smiles. Brent explains to Elizabeth that since he is graduating in December and plans to begin work in January, he wants to leave all of November and December open for interviews. Such a plan means that by October 31 he has to have all his preliminary materials, such as cover letters and résumés, submitted to the companies where he wants to work. Elizabeth recognizes that Brent has to follow a very tight schedule, if he wants to meet his goal within the next 60 days. She suggests that the two of them sit down together and decide the major milestones that need to be completed in the job search process. Elizabeth and Brent list the 19 major milestones. For each of the 19 milestones, they identify the other milestones that must be accomplished directly...
