POSITION: RESTAURANT SERVER

POSITION: RESTAURANT SERVER
DEPARTMENT: RESTAURANT DINING AREA
SUPERVISOR: RESTAURANT MANAGER
The restaurant server will primarily be responsible for taking orders from the restaurant customers, serving their meals and drinks and providing outstanding customer service. It is essential that the server works well with other restaurant staff.
The typical duties required of the server will include:
• Introducing the menu to the customer
• Memorizing special menu items for the day
• Taking orders from the customers and delivering meals and drinks in a friendly manner.
• Checking back with customers regularly and tending to their requests – this will include bringing condiments, refilling drinks, extra utensils and other special requests.
• Interacting with kitchen staff may be required for special meal requests or menu modifications.
• Removing dishes and utensils from the customer’s table as they are finished with their meal
• Preparing the meal check and process the payment.
• Friendly and professional interaction with other restaurant is required.
• Cleaning up, wiping tables and sanitizing according to safety protocols.
• Providing excellent customer service to every customer.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Required to stand for extended periods of time.
• Required to carry trays with food and drinks on
• Required to maintain a professional manner when customers are not satisfied, and/or children are misbehaving.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Serving experience preferred but not required

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• Must be willing to undergo a drug test
• Must be willing to attend one day of orientation / training

1. The server greets guests in a friendly manner with an introduction of himself/herself, according to restaurant procedure, within 5 minutes of the guests being seated by the greeter.

2. The server describes menu items accurately.

3. The server delivers beverages & other special requests to guests within 5 minutes after guests make their request.

4. The server verbally communicates with the guests frequently throughout their meal, ensuring that their dining needs are being met.

5. The server carry trays, plates and drinking glasses to and from guest’s tables without dropping or spilling.

6. The server delivers the correct meals and beverages to the correct guests/tables with 100% accuracy.
