...attractive tourist spots. Based on the history of the city, it is the Americans, which recognized Baguio as one of the Philippine cities on June 1, 1903 at Kafagway. Naguilian Highway, Marcos Highway and Kennon Road are the three accessible roads to the city. The most famous route to the city is Kennon Road, however, it is dangerous to take that route during the rainy season because the road is prone to land slides. In this case, travelers who want to visit the city is advised to travel by air since the city has an airport which is named as Loakan Airport. Baguio City is a big city in the Northern region of the Philippines. Based on reports, the city has 130 barangays, which include the Session Road area, the barangay that is very popular for bars, restaurants and other business establishments that attract tourists and travelers to the area. Aside from the Session Road area, Mines View Park, Camp John Hay and Burnham Park are the other tourist attractions in the area. For travelers who want to have a look at some tourist spots in city, they can also visit the vacation house of every Philippine president in Baguio. It is also exciting and luring to have a tour at some of the strawberry farms of the city. In addition, the city is also renowned for its top universities and colleges such as University of the Philippines Baguio, University of Baguio and Saint Louis University. Above all, Baguio is popular for Philippine Military Academy that is based on one of its barangays. Many foreigners...

...being in it, there will only be one name to call Baguio City’s most congested and busiest area where people converge and separate: Session Road. Before it gained its notorious image of being the busiest road in Baguio, the Session Road roots itself way back to the 1900s. During the American occupation of the country, The Second Philippine Commission formed in 1904 took place here. It was during this time when Baguio was officially christened as the Philippine Summer Capital. Today, the only concrete proof that something historical ever took place is a marker found in Governor Park Road. Everything else has faded and has become what is now Baguio’s Session Road. Assortments of business establishments now swarm Session Road. A wide array of boutiques, bazaars, department stores, restaurants, pastry or bakeshops, cafes, and old movie theaters can easily be spotted. The majority of Baguio’s banks and offices as well as drug and bookstores are also here. The Session Road is divided into two parts: the Upper Session Road and the Lower Session Road. Nobody really refers to the latter as the Lower Session Road, instead just Session Road, since this is where most of the activities and establishments are found. As one of this main study I gathered information regarding the old and new building one of these old buildings is the Maharlika building that is located at the lower Session Road. Maharlika building is formerly known as the Baguio Stone Market, it was built in 1917 by German Prisoner...

...CORDILLERA ADMINISTRATIVE REGION I. Brief History Many theories have been postulated to account for the origin of the people inhabiting the mountain regions of the Philippines. The Land Bridge Theory claims that the Philippines was part of the Southern Asia Mainland and the Northern Luzon maintain tribes that came through these bridges during the last glacial period between 1200 and 1500 B.C. Contradictory to these assumptions is the Wave Migration Theory, which occurred thousands of years after the disappearance of the land bridges in 3,000-4,000 B.C. The theory states that groups of migrants came by boat from the neighboring lands during the Neolithic period. The Neolithic culture, which they brought with them, is still evident in the rice terraces, cloth weaving and the use of iron implements. Scholars differ in their contentions of the mountain people’s ancestors, however, a prominent number supports the contention that the ancestors of the mountain people came from the South East Asia Mainland. In the process of settling down, the early inhabitants became geographically isolated from one another. The long period of isolation and adaptation to the environment gave rise to variations of culture. When the Spaniards came to the Philippines, they were able to set foot in the Cordilleras as early as 1608 but with minimal influence. They were able to establish commandancias in Benguet, Ifugao and Kalinga-Apayao but their stay did not last long enough to pacify...

It was then developed in 1992 under the reign of Congressman Vergara. But due to lack of maintenance, it became idle for almost ten years. It is no longer functioning as a park but only a pedestrian passage of the people living beside it due to it has many accesses around it. There are no proper garbage disposals due to lack of trash cans and there are no functioning lighting which makes the park prone to crime. ...My Microtel Inn & Suites in Cabanatuan has been a great experience for me as a hospitality student because the seminar and stay they had offered to us students had enhanced and build our knowledge on the different sides of the hospitality industry, but it also made a great part on our personal growth as a person and as a worker in the near future. The first seminar that was discussed is about the brief history of the hotel industry and how the Microtel Inn & Suites had started in the world of hotel industry. Mr. Joel Cucueco facilitated the first seminar and discussed on the achievements and milestones of Microtel Cabanatuan. The powerful words and little witty things Mr. Cucueco has said made the opening seminar active, not just because there is a Goya to anyone who will answer Mr. Cucueco’s question, but because the topic is very interesting to be taken for granted. The next topic is the housekeeping department and we are teached on how to make a bed. After the demonstration of the bed making, we were challenged that there will be a bed making competition in the morning, everyone was challenged to make-up the bed with the best they can. The succeeding seminars were barista and entrepreneurship which was facilitated by Mr. Philip Tiongson who is the bar manager of Liquid Coffee Bar and Resto. The whole crowd was so alive that everyone was laughing on their chairs. Mr. Tiongson was a whole package of a speaker because he is not a boring speaker. He discussed on the coffee...

...Perception of College Students towards Advertisement of Selected………… Chapter 1 Introduction and Background of the Study The term 'motel' in the United States is outdated and very few motel chains still exist. Motels, very popular starting in the 1960s when travel by car was on the rise, have now been replaced by budget chain hotels typically used by road warriors. In the year 2000, the American Hotel-Motel Association removed 'motel' from its name after doing considerable market research and finding the term to be passed. This national association is now called the American Hotel and Lodging Association. The association felt that using the term 'lodging', instead of 'motel', more accurately reflects the large variety of different style hotels including luxury and boutique hotels, suites, inns, budget, and extended stay hotels. Perception is subjective in interpretation as brought about by experiences. A particular object can mean differently to varied individuals. Some think it is a positive, others think negative, or they are unaware of the stimulus. Perception is the whole system by which stimuli affect whatever is the cognition and behaviour of the individual automatically responding to the stimuli. Advertising is a form of communication intended to persuade an audience (viewers, readers or listeners) to purchase or take some action upon products, ideas, or services. It includes the name of a product or service and how that product or service...
