It was a rainy day in august. The autumn had come early this year. He shudders his shoulders slightly and coursed the weather away! He was walking on fifth avenue New York. His favorite street, the best shops and coffee bars was located here. He had just board a new watch in the Rolex store, the watch was the last new, so he hat to buy it. He had also board the thing women’s true lover most, but en secret
He soar a red jacket, and begin to smile, it was the same as she had warned to lunch today he remembered. It was the third time he had joined together with this girl, it had gone very good as always. She was blond, had long legs and with hard blue eyes. She was not to thin or fat, but somewhere in between. They had met first time to a dining party. They had just looked one another. After the dinner, the men exude themselves and went into to the office behind closed doors. She had smiled the most beautiful smile with her white teeth and said: “call me” and then walk right down the stairways with her high heels and gone out in the night. The days after he could only think about that girl and rang her so they could meet. They had seen one another every day they had the time. Yesterday they just lay on the beach until the stars were up. He felt like to scream his happiness out, tell everybody how wonderful and who this amazing girl was, that make him so happy. His smile fainted because their relationship but not for long he knew. Soon it was history he thought, and looked up in the black sky.
She looked inside the mirror. Her long legs was caramel brown, finaly after 9 days in the warm Italy. Before she was white as the snow!! Her blond hair had gone lighter, and her eyes had a more softness to them, than before she met William. It had been hard not to see him every day, but not harder than hold their relationship a secret from their parents especially for hers. It had been nice to just in these 9 days just to relax and play tennis with her family. She looked over on her desk were the police contact batch were. Lea began to think about the odd evening. They just landed with their jet, there had for the first time in many years problem in the arrivals. A police man had come up to her father and said something quietly about a problem that there had to been taking care of. In the mean time policemen had come from every corner of the private parking spot and search them and the plain. At some point the man who was in charge of this, had gone up to her father and took the back he had in his hands and they disappeared. Suddenly she heard noise, gun shots, then footsteps; someone was yelling she had heard this voice before and then William throw himself into the room..
This was the worse idée he had ever hat. William had call her parents many times this night, they had talked with him in 5 seconds and said that they could not agree on what he said so the morning after they tooked to Italy to their residents. He had cried that night, and pounced every person in two meters radius in the bar. Then he had gone to the church and tried to look for answers. He cried and cried when he told his problems, finally his burden was lifted from his shoulders and he knew what he had to doe.. Luckily his family had some good contacts in the police. He had send them out to Lea’s jet, the night their landed to check, that she had come with them home.0
His guards had followed them to their house; they had knocked on the door like any other formality. His adrenalin pump in him, he felt the cold gun on his chest and the knife he had in his shoe, “just for sure” had his friend and guard Thomas said. It took hours before any answered William felt, he soar over to his right were Thomas stood, he was one of his best friend and William was luckily to have him on his side this night. He had always been on his right and will be there forever.
The handle moved, every one of them stood on their toes. He took the dusin roses up, and said when the door upend ”good day”. It was not a warm smile he got in return; just a knife holding a centimeter from his face and he got pulled into the lion cage without any of his men.
Her father stood on the middle steps on the stair. The man behind him still hold the knife on his neck, “I want your daughter, with or without you blessing Mr Cartalus, I will do anything to prove that I am the one for her” William stood and watch his moves, suddenly MR. Cartalus waved the man behind him off. “Your father just call, business will be good with two families united, our friendship and streets will only doe good of this arrangement but I have to know about your sincerity so” Suddenly the situation was out of control, the man with the knife knocked him on his check. Thomas fried him into the room, guns was firing and he ran upstairs to his beloved
William and lea stood in front of each other, Lea was one big question mark and William was hypnotist of her beauty in this simple black dress. A smile began on both of their faces they kissed and looked into their eyes, but suddenly Lea scream and William felt a cold but right after a warm feeling on his neck. And passed out..
All who were something in New York was gathered here today, every one stood with tears in their eyes. The priest had just finished his speech about a young beautiful boy who was field with love. He knew this boy from then he was a kid, he had taught him math a never to give up. She had giving him love no one could imagine, she was the one for him with no doubt. So it was with happiness he joined them together under goods house and said” You may kiss the bride”

Dream House

...In life everyone has their own dreams, whether it be about cars, houses, or their career. Most people I know dream to have the biggest and luxurious houses but I was always satisfied with mine. My house is not a tiny apartment nor a huge mansion but a two story, plain brown brick cozy house with white painted doors. The front yard is decorated with beautiful flowers; roses, lilies, violets, dahlias, daisies and much more, my mother usually plant them. She says, "Flowers are a pleasure and perfection of nature, and they give many things to people, and it does not matter if you are rich or poor, they give you a wonderful world which makes you feel happy". It definitely makes her and our neighbors happy. She shares the seeds of her flowers with the neighbors since they love and always compliment her garden. Walking through the front doors of my house after a long day of school always makes me feel so relaxed. There is always a smell of fresh vanilla or brown sugar candles the moment I walk through my white painted door. As I walk up the stairs and I see four bedrooms and a washroom. There is one bedroom for each of us in the family; my parents, brother, sister and myself. I usually go straight to my room when I get home. The walls in my room are painted a nice light green. There’s my bed in the middle of the room, a desk, night table and a closet. I have always wished I had a walk in closet but I'm comfortable with what I have now, this closet does me just fine. I usually lay in...

The Boarding House

...In The Boarding House by James Joyce we have the theme of powerlessness, social opinion, paralysis and marriage. Taken from his Dubliners collection the story is narrated in the third person by and unnamed narrator and what is interesting about the story is that the reader is given the point of view of two of the main characters in the story, Mrs Mooney and Bob Doran. Some readers will also notice that Joyce, as he does in a lot of the stories in Dubliners, is using colours (brown and yellow) to symbolise decay and paralysis. Instances of this within the story include Joyce describing what some of the lodgers in Mrs Money’s boarding house have eaten for breakfast. Joyce tells the reader that ‘the table of the breakfast-room was covered with plates on which lay yellow streaks of eggs and morsels of bacon-fat and bacon rind.’ This description is significant as Joyce is symbolizing, through colour the state of paralysis that exists within Mrs Mooney’s boarding house, particularly for Bob Doran. Another instance of Joyce using colour (yellow) to highlight a state of paralysis is the gilt clock that Mrs Mooney looks at when she is waiting for Bob to come and talk to her. The idea or theme of powerlessness is also explored in the story while Bob is in his room thinking about what he has to do. He feels trapped, concerned about what his friends and employers will think about his relationship with Polly and by what the priest has told him he must do. The role of the priest in the story...

House and Apartment: Similarities and Differences

...built an apartment which is has the same function as a house, that is a place to live in. Unlike a house, an apartment usually located at the center of city which is give an extra benefit for business utility. “Your apartment is your home, and you should be able to enjoy it to the fullest” (Ron Leshnower, 2010). Nonetheless, some people think that living in house would give the maximum comfortibility. There are 2 similarities between a house and an apartment. First of all, both of them would make you spend the same living cost. When you decide to live with luxurious life style, wherever you live, you would stay to live with that kind of habit. Second of all, whether it is a house or an apartment, it has a big role as a place to live in. In the other hand, there are 3 differences between living in a house and apartment. Firstly, living in a house would spend more money rather than an apartment. If you think that someday you would buy a house, first thing that you need to purchase is a land. A land is primary requirement to build a house. Thus, it should be really expensive especially if it is close by the city. And next, you need to buy the raw materials and hire someone to build a house. However, if you decide to buy an apartment, all you need to do is be ready for the money. “It is cheaper then living in a traditional house and paying different kinds of fees I am not familiar with.” (IELTS Essay Task 2: Apartment Or House, paragraph 2, http://www.goodatesl.com/ielts/writing...

House Chores

...Dirty Dish Fiasco There are many challenges while living in a fraternity house. With eight guys having their own schedules and personal habits clashing, there are many communication issues that take place. There are not only just communication issues with those of us living in the chapter house, but with other fraternity brothers that visit as well. In our house, we have to share two bathrooms, a living area, a laundry station and a kitchen. I will focus on talking about the major source of our communication fiasco; the kitchen. We have a medium double sink and a dish drainer with limited counter space. The worst thing is that we have to manually clean our dishes every time since we don’t have a dish washer to do the job for us. In general, when people are busy, they tend to put priorities like cleaning and washing dishes near the bottom. Most of us spend a lot of time cooking and utilizing resources in the kitchen. This means a lot of used dishes that accumulate very fast. There are two issues that arise from this: 1) People don’t always clean their dishes after using them right away and 2) The dish drainer is always full and unavailable for other dishes to wash their used dishes. The problem with the second point is that people get lazy The beginning of the problem is when the dish drainer gets full. This usually keeps us from doing their dishes and end up putting dirty dishes in the sink or on the counter next to the sink. We will ignore the fact that the dish drainer is...

A Doll House

...A DOLL HOUSE A Doll's House is a three act play about a seemingly typical housewife who becomes disillusioned and dissatisfied with her condescending husband. Nora represents the 'doll' in this 'perfect doll house' with decorated Christmas trees and fancy parties. The realization that her life is a sham, she spends her whole life in a dream world. In this dream world, Nora does not take life seriously, an attitude that led to many of the plot’s complications. Nora and Torvald Helmer believe they are happily married and on the brink of a blissful new phase of life. Nora's lie is exposed and Torvald first blames, then forgives her and is finally abandoned as Nora recognizes the truth of her situation. She accuses her husband, and her father before him, of having used her as a doll, and declares herself unfit to be a wife or mother until she has learned to be herself. Nora's position in her own household, as well as Nora's perception of the world. Not only have the men in her life treated her like a "doll", to be dressed up and played with, but she herself has lived as that doll. She has played into the role, and she has always viewed the world from only the perspective of her little house. She is treated like a child and is not taken seriously. She is belittled by Torvald and doesn't listen to her feelings, wants, and desires. Kerstin Thompson's Drum House

...Whilst it’s only possible to speculate, Kerstin Thompson’s Drum House seems to follow a very similar brief to that to the Bergren House by Mayne and Rotundi. The Bergen house was designed for a single mother who also worked as a full time scholar in a tertiary institution. The house needed to be entirely functional; there was no need for frivolous detail or aesthetic storage solutions. Practicality was king. Mayne and Rotundi focused on a circulation plan that would be as efficient as possible whilst being a healthy building to inhabit, as detailed in their quote: “It allowed us to explore sequential movement in a way that we hadn’t before. It was very processional, it allowed us to deal with the relationship between a visual axis and an...

Houses: the Visual Reflection of the Family

...“Houses: The Visual Reflection of the Family” During our previous discussion in class, we understood how much influence and control cultures have over the form and spacing of different structures. In fact, in his book “Socio-cultural Factors and House Form”, Amos Rapoport even stated that, “…house form is not simply the result of physical forces or any single causal factor, but is the consequence of a whole range of socio-cultural factors seen in their broadest terms…”, and he adds, “I will call the socio-cultural forces primary and others (climate) secondary or modifying.” This means that when it comes to convenience versus beliefs or traditions, the latter would almost always be chosen over the former. When it comes to culture, the most primary and influential of these practices are those that are experienced everyday, at our own home. It is the culture practiced within the family, called the family culture. A family’s culture may be almost identical to those of society’s, but a family still make themselves unique from the all the rest by having their own set of values, traditions, practices, and of course means of enjoying life. And because of this, families tend to need their own shelters or homes; somewhere they could keep their culture intact and live life the way they want to. Houses are the visual reflection of the family. A family’s home is something that is directly being used by all the members of the family in it everyday; this means that the house may...

A Dolls House

...Literary Essay: A Doll’s House Rachael Shannon 2015-07-24 Ms. Behiel ENG3U Life for a housewife in the 1800s was very different from what it is in the 21st century, but what remains true is the difficulty in having a good marriage. The play, A Doll’s House by Henrik Ibsen, represents the struggles one might have went through, but he really challenged the typical marriage back then. In the play, Nora is a loving mother of three and a caring wife who has been misunderstood and mistreated. Nora’s decision at the end of the play to leave Torvald Helmer is justifiable because, he makes her perform by singing and dancing, he treats her like a doll and he dictates her whole life. Firstly, Torvald treats Nora as his own doll and makes her sing and dance for his pleasure. For example, before she must dance the Tarantella for the party and has to practice for Torvald, “Now, you must go and play through the Tarantella and practise with your tambourine.” (II, 41) Torvald makes Nora practice for the dance, he even commands her. This is a misuse of his power over her and he treats her like a subordinate. In addition Nora is able to bargain with her husband by offering her services, “I would play the fairy and dance for you in the moonlight, Torvald.” (II, 38) He has used her for his own entertainment as if she was a servant to him and not his wife. In conclusion, Nora had to leave Torvald and the children because her husband was mistreating her as a performer. Secondly, he treats...
