How Did Change Excellerate? In the last 500 years humans have controlled the biosphere. We have increased the population from 1.6 million in the 1900’s to almost 7 billion people in the 21st centuary. The first change was in the breakdown of the barriers of the four world zones. This made it to where the exchage trade grew more with ideas, goods, plants, animals, and customs. More information started to travel about new lands and good etc… The 2nd curcial chage was the increasing of commerce. Elites and Rulers were extrating resources by the treat of force. People started selling goods or labor and competitive markets, just to get more. Where more competitive markets flourised the people started to get more renivation. Governements started to realize there was revenue in commerce, so they began to supporting merchants. The 3rd crucial change was from the discovery of energy from fossil fuels. The main sorce of energy was from wood in the world. James Watt invented the steam engine that started the beginning of an energy revolution that would revolutionize our world. In the late 1900’s and the earliest 20th centuary, new inavations such as the combustion engine made it possible to harnest the power of natural gas and oil. These 3 changes over time, started to transform society in some parts of the world. The places that were being transformed were growing rapidly from the wealth and power. Since some many people were becoming wage earners, the higher class people had to become managers of markets. Multiple countries started to take advantage of the new inventions, and started to use the weapons for armies, then to create empires.
