Each god and goddess owned a prized possession. There is a goddess named Fysilia (nature in Greek + lia), the goddess of nature. Her prized possession was a tree that’s roots began at the very bottom of the universe and its tallest branch stretched higher than the eye can see. The tree sprouted when she was created, and has grown rapidly her entire life. The tree, which she called ainois-zoi (forever life in Greek), would continue to grow, in good health, for all of her eternal life. Ploutos wanted to ruin ainois-zoi. After patiently waiting for centuries, Ploutos finally found his opportunity to ruin ainois-zoi. Fysilia left their realm to visit their grandparents, the creators of the gods and goddesses. Ploutos snuck down to the very bottom of the universe, and set fire to the bottom of Fysilia’s treasured tree, then he watched as the wild flames climb up the seemingly endless miles of bark. What he didn’t know was that ainois-zoi was not only tied to his sister’s lifespan, but whatever happened to her happened to the tree, and vice versa. Fysilia amidst her journey, began to be set on fire. In a panic, she began frantically searching the area for something to put out the fire. Although in the frenzy, she tripped and fell many reams down to where the Earth’s center is today. Because Fysilia is immortal, being set on fire would not kill her, and no one ever put out the fire burning up ainois-zoi which will continue to grow as long as she lives, so she became a forever burning ball of fire that we know today as the Earth’s
