Everyone has their moment to shine out brighter than Polaris. Whether it is a total accidental moment of change, or a proud an outstanding moment. In the novel The Hobbit, Bilbo has two different sides of his family. The audacious Tookish and the laid back Baggins. Throughout his adventure with the dwarves and Gandalf, Bilbo shows some interesting moments from the Tookish side of his family. Some of these moments are his bravery to steal,, his courage to walk on, and his narrow escape from Gollum. To start Bilbo's adventure,his first task as the robber is to pickpocket trolls. It took some of Bilbo’s courage and bravery to do it though. Bilbo encountered them because he was sent on a mission to sent to investigate a fire, and he found the terrifying site of trolls tearing through roast mutton. Bilbo stayed put, even in the circumstance of being in the presence of two giant beings that could possibly end his life. Bilbo took up the courage and attempted a pickpocket from the trolls. Bilbo may have not succeeded with his first robbery, but someone else succeeded with theirs.

He had to stray out of his comfort zone more than he had previously. Gollum was a terrifying creature with his eerie, phosphorescent eyes that terrified Bilbo, but he moved on. Bilbo was faced with the challenge of escaping from Gollum and the goblins. Bilbo was brave enough to accept a riddle battle and and he won it, but with a twist.
