“Disgracing himself”
This novel, “Disgrace” by J.M. Coetzee was such an outrageous novel for me. David Lurie was our main character; he was involved throughout the whole entire novel. David Lurie has many superior changes that occur to him in his life. As, we analyzed David Lurie is the main character in the novel, he acknowledges many terrific experiences, some were quite shocking and extremely intense. The author of this novel makes David Lurie’s personality seem very doubtful. There are many significant changes in David Lurie, especially how his personality creates new a character for him. It was finally time for him to set back and relax as he’s becoming older day by day. David try’s to bring changes into his life in order for better outcomes to occur. David has made so many mistakes that he finally realized that he needed to bring change into his life. These changes that he started to work allowed for him to become a better person. He was changing himself not only for himself, but also for Melanie and Lucy. These two people were the most important people into David Lurie’s life ever. David loved having sexual desires, such as having intercourse with females much younger than him. These sorts of mistakes allow him to change himself and become better heading on the right path instead of taking advantage of younger women just for fun such as sexual intercourse. This is one of the most hardheaded stubborn professors that I have ever heard about, he dreams for things that are quite important to see. David Lurie is truly trying his best to bring changes into his life; he notices that he isn’t meant to live in South Africa. David Lurie demonstrated through many different representations of how he can bring changes into his life. David Lurie wasn’t an ordinarily professor, he was a communications professor. David Lurie is becoming a better individual for himself and for his family that he greatly loves and cares
