Image/Reality The way people see image can affect the way society works. The many reason why it's like that is because a person can see the world as a positive place were we have all the luxuries we want, we can be any one we want, and we can live any way we want. But in reality were not able to have all the luxuries like any car we want, the house we wan to live in, and the job we all want its not impossible it's just reality. When a person thinks about the American image they says that it's a family of four a wife, husband , and a boy a girl. But in reality no one is like that either people choose to have more than two kids knowing they can handle it but wanting them because they imagine they could raise a family of more than four.

Image can fool a person that is really down to earth image can fool a person into believe what's definitely not real but they make it real. A person sees that many things in life all worth trying but people don't chase them. Many people don't chase them because they want everything in the palm of their hand but its not always like that. Why? Because if you had the opportunity to have anything in the world people would pick the biggest house, the most expensive and fast car, and people would want to be the wealthiest person without knowing what they want. The way image is used in the modern era strictly attacks people. When it's comes to fashion an shoes. All women wants to shop, when it comes to are and sports all men are all over it, and when your at home and don't feel like cooking you see a restraint commercial with the food looking so delicious so you end up going. But in reality what are you getting you get women going to buy clothes and shoes they'll probably were once or never even take out the tag, men go look at cars and sports without knowing what going on and asking themselves why their there, and the

How Technology Has Changed the Classroom

...With the vast and rapid development of science and technology, a computer is no longer considered as a source of luxury but it’s a requirement of the modern days. Computer technology has provided students of all ages the chance and opportunity to expand on what interests they have. It also provides them help in improvement of their homework and test scores. The computers can offer newer ways of getting information across to their fellow students and teachers for example, PowerPoint presentations and animation software can be used to render information to the students in an interactive manner. The visual effects provided by the animation and presentation software result in inviting greater interest from the students. The book Teachers and Machines by Larry Cuban provides an excellent history of technology throughout the 20th century in the classroom. The technology he discusses is from film, radio and television and then goes into the introduction of computers in the early 1980’s. In the 1980s teachers were afraid that their jobs were on the line because they thought they were all going to be replaced with computers. It is important to use technology in schools, technology is made to simplify the way we do things, and so both students and teachers can benefit from the integration of technology in schools. This has been the case for years and a number of inventions have helped both student and teacher. For example, when the projector was introduced to school it was a...

A huge example is Facebook, everybody even my grandmother has a Facebook account. This source of communication makes it possible for her to post pictures and chat live with her relatives on the other side of the world. On the other hand Business have also changed people communications within, most businesses have gone paperless where memos or messages are sent via emails, conference agendas, and some even provide cell phones for faster communication. Everything is about technology, in my job we are required to use ADP for our paystubs, change of address, and medical plan choices. Just as an example I was at the LA county office and an elder walks in and apparently he was asking to see his case officer; the first response of the receptionist was if had an appointment scheduled. The man said no but he was trying to make her understand that he had called his officer before but there was no response. The receptionist replied that the problem was that now in days the only method to make appointments was trough the website or a kiosk that was on the corner of the office. I saw his facial expression of wordiness. He was sending her a message but she was too busy to help him. I step up and ask to help him, I felt so bad...

How Technology Has Changed Our Language

...How Technology Has Changed Our Language Internet Knowledge: Some words have taken on a very new meaning thanks to technology. Not very long ago, the word “tweet” referred simply to something that birds do. Now it is also used to represent the process of posting a 140 character message on the social network Twitter.  Social media’s been responsible for a lot of new words, for example tweeps, twitterverse and retweet. The word “friend” has become a verb, as in “she friended me on Facebook”. The term “check-in” no longer applies just to hotels and airports; these days it’s just as commonly used when someone reports where they are via a social network. Technology has also changed the way we write. Mobile phones have been responsible for a lot of the change, as users have moved towards texting as an everyday form of communication. For a start, WRITING IN UPPER CASE MEANS YOU’RE SHOUTING, while lower case writing is now the accepted form. Meanwhile, text language is full of abbreviations, missing vowels and acronyms. For example, the abbreviations LOL, OMG and gr8 are all widely used today but hadn’t been invented a few years ago. One of the drivers in this is that screen sizes and character limits are low, meaning that users need to abbreviate to fit their messages in. My Knowledge: ‘Emojis’ which are small digital images and ‘emoticons’ which are representation of a facial expression such as a smile or frown, formed by various combinations of keyboard characters are also...

How Technology Has Changed Tax Accounting

...How Technology Has Changed Tax Accounting How Technology Has Changed Tax Accounting The profession of tax accounting has been around for almost a century with the ratification of the 16th Amendment in 1913, which allowed the United States Federal Government to levy taxes on individuals’ income (Rettig, 2006). At that time, the tax laws were fairly simple and most people could complete their tax returns and the required calculations without the help of an accountant. Since then, the tax laws have increased so vastly in number and complexity that the average person cannot understand the laws enough to prepare their own return without assistance. This may come in the form of a tax accountant or software that walks the taxpayer through various rules that may apply to them. This paper focuses on how technology has changed the tax accounting profession throughout the years, highlighting the various innovations that have had the most significant impact. First, I will focus on how technology has changed the various aspects of tax accounting from recruiting clients and communicating with them, to filing completed tax returns and interacting with the Internal Revenue Service. Following, I will describe what tax accounting is likely to look like in the future due to some of the latest technological advances. Finally, I will summarize the major changes in the tax accounting profession over the years, and how tax accounting will continue to evolve moving forward. ...

How Cell Phone Technology Has Changed Society

...Just a few decades ago, mobile phones were a luxury that few could afford; large, heavy and awkward devices that were an exclusive form of telephone service, possibly suited for certain industry workers. The mobile phone is now a part of our popular culture. It has vastly changed our lives, and the (now) small, lightweight, highly portable device is viewed as a necessity in most households. One key way mobile phones have had an impact on our lives is in what they were designed for: communication. Mobile phones have allowed us to expand our person-to-person communication from what used to be a simple phone call, to the use of texting, group messaging, video chat, email and social media. But that’s not all they do. Mobile phones allow us to listen to songs, read books, play games, take photos and videos, watch movies, shop online, search for jobs, assist with our banking needs, track our loved ones, look up the closest restaurant to our current location, provide turn-by-turn directions to those restaurants, and so much more! The mobile phone has dramatically changed our culture and continues to do so as the technology evolves. It has freed us from the constraints of a bulky computer, providing information literally at our fingertips (or most recently, on our wrists). Whatever action or knowledge we desire, the mobile phone is most likely capable of providing. Although mobile phones have made our lives easier and more convenient, there are negative aspects associated as...

Managing Technology

...Technology, Information Technology included, have changed our lives in so many ways. It changed how we recorded our thoughts into written words, how we communicate with one another, how we shop, bank, how we keep our memories, most aspect of our lives. It significantly changed the manufacture industry and touched almost every single industry. The first computer was invented in 1939 by Hewlett-Packard in a garage in Palo Alto, California. It was mostly used in military/government and universities/science lab. It took 40+ years for the first personal computer to be created by IBM (1981). The first personal computer (PC) ran on a 4.77 Mhz Intel 8088 microprocessor [1]. After that computer world has advanced leap and bound, hardware as well as software. Some of the laptops today run on a 4.0 Ghz (almost 1000 times more powerful). According to US census, in 2012, 80% of all house hold had a computer at home in the US [2]. Technology changed the way we recorded our written words. For hundreds (if not thousands) of years, we used pen and pencil to write on paper. We later used type writer to type on paper, then type into computer. Now, with the help of some software, we don’t even have to type. We can “speak” or “talk” for computer (or other devices like smart phone, tablet, etc) to “type” for us. Thanks to technology, we now have “text-to-speech”, “talk-to-type”, and “talk-to-text”. As technology changes, businesses had to change to survive the IT impact...
