How to become rich
As I remember there is a pop song “I want to be a billionaire so freaking bad, buy all of the things I never had”, this melody still stick in my head all the time. How to become rich? I ask myself this question every day. Become rich has different meanings for different people. The term rich can also be applied to the accumulation of other things besides wealth. Things like good health, close relationships with family and friends, a rewarding career, and enjoyable hobbies can make people feel rich as well. Of Course everybody dreams to being rich, who wouldn’t, but being rich in wealth without being rich in life would in my opinion to be pointless. Being in good health allows a person to enjoy life with or without having money. Not having to go to the doctor constantly for things such as heart trouble, diabetes, depression, or arthritis is a blessing. When we can be mobile without pain to do even the simplest of things, this allows us to live an enjoyable life.
I could be a person without the convenience of monetary value and have a wonderful family and friends to share my life with that would make me rich in life. No one can put a price on having a family that is there for you through good times and bad.
When the time comes that you need a shoulder to lean on or someone to just listen to you vent, nothing beats family and friends. True friends will always pick you up when you fall or stumble, share secrets with you, and they will be the first to give you a swift kick in the pants to get you back on

How to Become Rich

...I am a student of business who has studied how people become wealthy throughout the existence of man and one thing I have come down to is this: Becoming wealthy is a state of being and a science. By becoming wealthy you change your character. Anyone can become wealthy, if they have the right amount of discipline, desire, and a way to become rich. I believe if you have enough will and drive, you don’t even need a plan to become rich. As long as you believe it and you can find others who will help you find a way, you can become rich. How can this be? It’s quite simple really. What would a person do if you gave them a million dollars today? Chances are that within a year –or much less –all that money and then some would be gone. Why? Simply because the person you gave it too had no training in how to make more out of it, let alone double it in a matter of weeks. Discipline is a huge key in becoming rich. You have to be willing to tell yourself, “I make X amount of dollars a week doing my job. I need to spend X amount of dollars on food, rent, and miscellaneous expenses. That leaves me with X amount of dollars left over to save to buy the car I want.” However, discipline goes beyond this. A huge key in becoming rich is being financially stable while you work at becoming rich. You have to be able to pay all your debt –to yourself first –and then to everyone else. Let me explain: I read once that the way to become a millionaire is to have desire, drive, a plan, and a financial...

Rich Dad Poor Dad

...Throughout the history of man, every person has had the same question. How can I become rich? Some may deny the want and for some even need to become rich, but there is no denying it. At some point we all fantasize about what would happen if one was to win the lottery of inherit a large sum of money. Wouldn’t that be great! I’m sure if you asked these same people what they would do with the money one they acquired it you would begin to see a trend; new car, new house or maybe even a boat! From only a select few would you hear a response such as stocks, bonds or real estate. These select few are the ones who will truly be rich someday. The vast majority of the population will spend countless hours online, in the library and talking to others with similar ideas of their latest and greatest “get rich quick” scheme. If only they would put the same effort into actually learning keys to success and reading literature that is actually worth the time you put into it more people would end up living how they always dreamed. For many, that’s all being rich will ever be, a dream. But then there are those who see no other option; they read books, take classes and immerse themselves in knowledge to try and gain an upper hand but even out of these few there are even less that will actually succeed in actually fulfilling their dream of becoming rich. However, there is hope, but only if you put in the work. The book Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki is a great place to start. It provides...

Rich Dad Poor Dad

...Lizet Moreno Professor Allen October 7, 2013 Rich Dad Poor Dad In the book rich dad and poor dad basically was summons up that for an individual to be wealthy, one must aim to own the system or means of the production. In other words the book shows you how to strive for success, there is different types of ways to succeed like the book tells you. The rich dad and poor dad both had strong point of views in earning and succeeding in life, in my opinion I would have followed on the same footsteps Kiyosaki did in following his rich dad. It is true when his poor dad says in order to get somewhere in life you have to get a good education and have a secure safe job but that really isn’t the path to become a wealth person. The rich dad’s opinion differ from the poor dad, he said in order to become wealth you first need to understand how money works. Based on the book rich dad poor dad it taught me and changed my mind in how to deal with money and finance. That financial literacy is key, also rather own business instead of work at them. Also it thought me to understand taxes and the power of corporations. One thing that he helped me understood was when he was explaining that the rich don’t work for money; they force money to work for them, when the rich required assets then liabilities. To know the difference an asset and liability, He quoted that “in order to be truly wealthy, your asset column must be robust and able to offset your living expenses” and that most people think...

“Girl” and “Aunt Jennifer’s Tigers”

...Tigers” by Adrienne Rich, and the short story "Girl" written by Jamaica Kincaid, illustrates the ways women reacts to a society dominated by men, and how their lives are molded by different decisions they make. A woman can simply ignore the restraints they face and suffer the consequences, or she can take a stand, challenge her authority, and enjoy the life she deserves. In Adrienne Rich’s poem, "Aunt Jennifer’s Tiger,” one could assume that the poem is about a woman, who is saddened by her husband’s death. So, the woman knits a magnificent panel that has tigers on it to remind her of her husband because she misses him. But actually, Aunt Jennifer is creating this panel because she desires to be brave, just like a tiger surviving in the wild. Tigers have energy. They are fearless creatures that are free to roam and do not fear men. Aunt Jennifer’s is a woman whose soul burns with creative fire and passion; but she has been defined by the rules of others for some time that she is unable to express herself. Her role in society is decided by a patriarchy; which means society is male dominated and women should occupy the margins (Webster). Aunt Jennifer feels like she is unable to rise. She is a caged bird who doesn’t know how to fly anymore. She has taken the role that society has assigned to her, without question. When Rich describes “The massive weight of Uncles wedding band, Sits heavily upon Aunt Jennifer’s hand,” (Rich 7-8) the mood of the poem becomes clear. The tone went...

Designing the Experience

... Designing forAn Experience: Design Approach to Human-centered Jodi L. Forlizzi Submitted to the Department of Design, College of Fine Arts, Carnegie Mellon University, in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Design in Interaction Design Abstract My thesis attempts to understand experience as it is relevant to interaction design. Based on the work of John Dewey, Mihalyi Csikszentmihalyi, and Richard Carlson, I identify two types of experience in user–product interactions: satisfying experiences and rich experiences. A satisfying experience is a process–driven act that is performed in a successful manner. A rich experience has a sense of immersive continuity and interaction, which may be made up of a series of satisfying experiences. Based on this definition, I identify a set of design principles with which to create products that evoke rich experiences. These principles are intended to encourage designers to think about how to create user–product interactions that suggest values and communicate meanings that enrich the quality of life. Narrative plays a key role in these design principles. Our series of life experiences form a narrative; the values that designers impart in an object form a narrative which is elaborated...

Rich Dad, Poor Dad

...Rich Dad Poor Dad is a very interesting book. It is told as story of two Dads which in my perspective, exactly points out the difference between serviced oriented vision of most of the Indian students and business oriented vision in American youth. Poor Dad is like a typical father in middle class Indian family who expects the child to study hard, get degrees, find lucrative job, get promotions, stick to job and save money to build a secure old life. It represents middle class Indian mentality. Due to stiff competition, few succeed in getting high salaried job. But their dreams of becoming rich, seldom come true as there are so many takers whenever the savings accumulate, like govt, income tax etc. and he remains a middle class or at the most upper middle class citizen. Rich Dad represents family head in America who expects his child to become young entrepreneur. He deliberately exposes his child to real world, prompts the child to study how the money moves, how to get money, take risk, grab opportunity, increase assets than liability. He creates urge and desire in child to become business owner, do job initially to earn money not to be used as secure saving for future but as capital seed for his business. True business man knows that desire increases liability and so he spends money not in luxury consumable items or property which invites tax cuts but for investing in projects he knows which will reap benefits. He doesn’t learned himself to become expert and smart. He is...

Poverty

...“Facing Poverty with a Rich Girl’s Habits” By Suki Kim The essay “Facing Poverty with a Rich Girl’s Habits”, by Suki Kim, is about a woman born in South Korea in the 1970’s who arrived in the United States after her millionaire father lost everything they had overnight. In the passage she engages the audience into her story explaining to us that the reason her family came to the United States. In Korea, bankruptcy was punishable by jail time; therefore her family fled to America. Kim spoke about how her lifestyle in Korea differentiated from her lifestyle in New York, and how she was worried about how her language would affect the way she would “fit in” in America. Kim realizes no matter where she is located, nothing can change who she is inside as a person. Realizing that to “fit in”, changing her beliefs is not necessary. She becomes comfortable with knowledge that others just like her also reside in America. Suki Kim had a very difficult time adjusting to the English language and American culture. In her essay she wrote about how her first words she learned were “F.O.B”, meaning “fresh off the boat”, which was very hard for her to understand since her family flew into the Kennedy airport. She described how at the age of thirteen she experienced her first ride on public transportation. Experiencing this was different for her because she had always been driven by a chauffeur. Suki Kim was expressed in her essay how she was embarrassed by having to go into a laundry mat to...

Summarize the other main points and their supporting details in separate paragraphs. “I thought because in South Korea I had been raised in a hilltop mansion with an orchard and a pond and peacocks until I entered the seventh grade, when my millionaire father lost everything overnight (Suki Kim).” Another main point that Suki was trying to make was challenging accepting a new way of living compared to how she was raised to living in Korea. Also Suki, felt it was important for the audience to know that the way she looked at life had changed since she moved from Korea.
