Alba Ma. Gokus García # 7 The book im Reading its named “How to be single” and was written by Liz tuccillo. The main characters of this novel: Alice, Georgia, Ruby, Serena, the narrator. The setting is settled in New York.
This story talks about six fiends who havent had a lot of luck in the aspect of love, they have had gone single recently. They are now trying to figure out how is the way of living being single by stablish some rules based on their adventures and experiences and have faith that when they learn how to carry with their singleness they may found the love of their lives and go on with a succesfull relationship.
The narrator is a 30 years old publisist that works for a large publishing house in New York, and she describes all her friends and how they managed their “single lives”. Georgia had been recently dumped by her exhusband, Dale, after a long marriage, in wich they had two child, Dale left her for a yonuger and sexier woman that he met in salsa lessons. Alice thinks he dumped , a possibility that was because she took him for guaranted, and that made the relationship Split.
As a result of the recent Split Georgia has been calling her friends all day because and insists she wants to have fun ando go to party and meet single guys, but she only says this because shes desesperated, the Split has affected her emotionaly.
Alice left her job for start dating and she signed up in every online relationship site, but when she noticed that none of these worked it started with a new method and she started getting “busy” she did a lot of activities, she always play the misterious and busy one, she said that been desesperated is worst you can do and that take guys away.
Serena she´s Chef of an important family in New York, but she also studies, she focuses very much on her, she had been single for a long time and in her past relationship she Split because she said she needed time for her, she isnt ready.
Ruby is a very emotional friend, that is good on dating, but shes single for the moment, shes having a hard time because her cat died.
After hours of planing this five firends decided to go out for a girls night but first of all, they stablished that going out needs an entire research, because is very important where they are going, and in fact it was because they decided going out to a bar, they sat there and had some drinks specting some cute guys came along, but they realize, every guy there was already taken, it was full up by couples.
It didnt helped they, they only got sadder because they think they’ll cant ever found love in life so they went back to their apartments, they had the wrong idea that going out to party and act like crazy will help her to find boyfriend.
One day Ruby went in to a selfstore to shop some food for hers new cat and se accidentaly found a long time ago friend, she didnt even remember him, but she went very glad about seen him, in fact he asked her out to go on a dinner for an update, she of course agree.
They all came to Rubys department to see what she was going to wear and to plan how she needed to act, Ruby was very exited, he was very handsome and a very formal guy, if everything went right she may become from a single lady to taken one.
But what this girls dont know was that they were rushing everything and this only made things worse because when Rudy went on the date, she was all nerveous and expecting a lot of this date and this made a total disaster.
After this they realized that they must not plan things like dates, and they dont need to made planes for long time because they dont now what may happen.
Some time passed and this friends split their touch because of different things like job and family, but they made a meeting to talk about what has had happend in that time they had been apart and how their “ singleness” has going.
They found that Georgia had been very succesful in a new job and her kids had grown very well, shes having a really high life quality and all by herself and her kids, Alice have had changed her life a lot after the experiences they had with trying to get in a relationship, so she stoped and in the most random place she fond what se calls “ the love of her life” and they had been in the most perfect relationship, Ruby and Serena are already married, and Ruby is expecting a baby.
The narrator wrote a book about al the experiences they had been single and she stablishes rules for every girl whos having a hard time finding boyfriend.
She relates steps for what to do and not to do in the search for thar very special person with whom you are going to spend the rest of your life.

They started living their lives in a more relaxed way and, they stablished that for may find and handle a relationship they first of all needed to handle with themselves been single, they realized how perfect were their livess by letting everything go on by itself in the aspect of love, just having a balance in every other aspect of life love come along all by itself.
In my personal opinion this is an exelent book because in this lives of this girls many girls can feel related because this is a very comon problematic nowdays, all girls get sad and depressed, or even worse they get desesperated because of no finding coulple, and this actitudes only take them to be a lot far from they were to find boyfriend, they may even get its life ruined because of this. This book has an exelent consept and very real adventures in wich you can find yourself identificated, i recomend this a lot.
