However, this is not the case in South Africa. Research purpose: The purpose of the study is to determine whether transformational leadership has a beneficial relationship with subordinate leadership acceptance, job performance and job satisfaction. Motivation for the study: Leadership is a critical issue that the public sector needs to address in order to survive and succeed in today’s unstable environment. We argue that an organization’s need to attract and retain valued employees in a highly competitive labour market is a strong motivating factor for increased organizational awareness and action with regard to implementation and management of WLB strategies. This article reports the findings of three surveys conducted from 1997 to 2000 of organizations in Australia. We explore the range and usage of WLB strategies in Australian organizations, and identify the barriers to those strategies. It is evident that, while some progress has been made over the years, there remain substantial challenges for the implementation and management of WLB strategies. This paper is a work in progress. ...EXECUTIVE SUMMARY As a partial fulfillment of my MBA curriculum I have undergone six weeks summer training at “ANGEL BROKING.” I have done my summer training project at Jamnagar branch from 1st of May to 15th of June. The Angel Group has emerged as one of the top 5 retail stock broking houses in India, having memberships on BSE, NSE and the two leading commodity exchanges in the country i.e. NCDEX and MCX. Angel Broking Ltd is also registered as a depository participant with CDSL. Angel has exceeded customer’s expectations by providing world-class service. I was placed under the marketing and sales department and I have learned a lot in carrying out marketing task for Angel Broking. I have done marketing in retail client segment. I have also carried out a project during summer training. The title of my project is “Present and the Future Scenario of e-Broking in Jamnagar city area” The questionnaire was used as data collection instrument and both open ended and close ended type of questions were used as per the requirement. From the survey it was found that currently the concept of e-Broking is not so prevalent in the market, but its future can be made bright by properly conveying its benefits. Human resource thus requires the necess ary attention in order t o achieve corporate objectives. This paper investigates the impact of investment in h uman resource training and development on employees' e ffectiveness in N igerian banks. Descriptive survey research was adopted for the study. A quantitative measure published by the Institute of Intellectual Capital Research and approved by the Saratoga Institute database was used (o assess human resource effectiveness in three randomly s elected banks. Also, an instrument titled Assessment of Trai ning and Development Activities Scale (ATDAS) was administered to one hundred and twenty -five randomly selected employees of the selected banks in Ilorin metropolis, Kwara State, Nigeria. Relevant data was obtained from the three selected banks ' audited f inancial accounts for a period of five years (2001 -2005).
