Integrated Information Management

There are four external and six internal considerations for developing an integrated information management system for a human service organization. (Ch. 7 p. 159-161)

External considerations: 1. Economic 2. Political 3. Sociological 4. Technological
Economic considerations are when the agency knows what is going on in the community around them and what is expected from them. What are other agencies doing and how are they doing them. Political considerations are based on the Board of Directors and how they take care of issues that arise within the agency. Sociological considerations are when the agency is aware of the community and the needs of specifics. It also determines demographics such as gender, age and more.

Internal considerations: 1. Organizational purpose 2. Organizational planning 3. Organizational operations 4. Human resources 5. Technological factors 6. Financial resources

Organization purposes are the goals that the agency has set and what steps are taken to reach those goals. Organizational planning is when the agency keeps track of the agencies goals and what they have accomplished to reach those goals and accomplishments. Organizational operations are when the agency keeps track of each department and everyone’s requirements and makes sure that the agency is performing and functioning properly. Human resources considerations want information regarding demographics, job training, certifications and more regarding the position, to ensure proper qualifications with the agency. Technological factors ensure that they have all the resources available and up to date such as computers, software, and other technology to keep up with the fast paced world. Financial resources is the final consideration and it is when the agency plans for and budgets the years expected financial needs as well as prepare them for any problems that may occur.

Designing a Rewards System

...Designing a Reward System HSM/220 Hector Smith Jr. July 1st 2015 Laura Haddon When looking for a job, everyone has their preferences. Some people will not take a job unless it pays good and had benefits such as insurance. While these things can be important, there are other aspects that are more appealing. A reward system is a great way to entice good hard working employees to come to work and stay at work. As part of this assignment, I will be using real life experience to compare and design my employee reward system. In my rewards system, I would ensure that all the employee needs are met by offering competitive pay and benefits. There would be a probation period before benefits would begin that would range from thirty to ninety days. These benefits would include paid vacation, health vision and dental insurance and possible shares into the company. Having the probation period install would give employees a reason to stay with the company. Employees would also be given a raise after their probation period ends and after they undergo an employee evaluation. During the evaluation, employees would be evaluated on their performance and how they handle pressure. By doing an evaluation, I would be able to see how well they work and if there is a possible promotion in the future. Raises would also be considered at this time as well. If one employee is exceeding expectations and another is just meeting them, they would not receive the same raise. The employee that...

Designing a Reward System

...1 Designing a reward system Shirquana DeBerry HSM/220 May 13, 2012 Sally Paige Nichols Axia College of University of Phoenix 2 My mission within this organization is to boost morale and the overall work ethics of my employers. I feel that the employees perform their best and are more motivated to complete task when there are incentives involved. I want my establishment to be the type where all the employees are happy to be at work and there are no conflicts. I know that no company is perfect and that there are flaws in every establishment, but it is up to me to determine what those flaws will be and how we can improve them. Although people are motivated in different ways it is up to me to find out what that one thing is and make it better so that everyone involved is happy. I believe in creating a stress free environment for my employees and making sure that all of their basic needs are being met. Here at the Family Crisis Center I want to make sure that each employee is respected by each person that works in this office. We will have quarterly team building exercises to help promote communication within our company. By doing this it gives everyone from each department to have the opportunity to meet one another and also to meet any new additions that they have not yet had a chance to meet. This is also the perfect time in which each employee that is with the company will have the chance to meet any CEO or department head that they have not previously met...

Designing a Rewards System

...Designing a rewards system HSM/220 March 20, 2015 Shanti Anderson      When creating a rewards system for employees, it is vital to understand the rewards system itself. A rewards system must be offered by managers that understand how effectiveness is to be achieved and what its employees consider to be the important factors in determining the quality of work life.     There are four necessary reward system properties; basic needs satisfied, competitive benefits, equitable distribution, and employees treated as individuals. To ensure basic needs are being met the company must offer competitive pay scales, as money is the biggest motivator to every employee. Basic needs are described as the ability to support themselves and their families. This includes housing, food, transportation, utilities, etc. Also, an employee must feel their worth to the company and should be compensated accordingly. Employees want to know the company values their work. This gives each employee the motivation to give 100%. To ensure competitive benefits are offered, a company must know the financial responsibilities of offering these benefits. After knowing the numbers, the company's management must then determine what they can afford to offer in a benefits package. These benefits will vary depending on each employee's position but should be competitive on that pay scale to other companies.  Benefits should be offered to every employee. If the company cannot afford to do this, they must shop...
