...Human Service Program The Human Service program is designed to prepare students for an entry-level position in a Human Service setting. The curriculum provides students with a generalist perspective of social services. As a generalist, students will be able to pursue a wide range of career opportunities which include income maintenance worker, case manager, assistant social worker, outreach workers, residential workers, etc. Students develop skills in screening, assessment, referral, record keeping, care plan development and treatment team process as well as a variety of other technical areas. A total of 420 hours of practical experience will provide a hands-on opportunity to apply skills and knowledge learned in the classroom. Graduates of the program receive an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Human Service Technology and are eligible to apply for a Certificate of Registration as a Social Work Assistant with the Counselor, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapist Board of the State of Ohio.
