Chapters 1-4: I personally like this book, so far. It has a good subject matter and a good set of characters. You have Hurry, who is a judgmental and overall stubborn person; and then you have Deerslayer, who is a very kind, understanding and knowledgeable person. Both Hurry and Deerslayer are set in their ways, yet they try to bring each other to their side of thinking. Luckily, Hetty was able to say all her goodbyes in her last moments. I’m telling you, every book I’ve read in NorthStar’s English class has made me cry at one point. After the death of Hetty, Judith went through a small period of mourning. Before Deerslayer left, Judith made one last request for marriage. Deerslayer is wise in everything but love, he denied this last marriage request just like all the others. This part of the book frustrates me so
