I AM THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE -JOHN 14:6

In the Book of John we see Jesus making some very bold statements about Himself, and relating Himself to the Father. The statements all begin with “I AM.” In the Book of Exodus 3:14, God says, “I AM THAT I AM,” [1] Which in Hebrew means I am the One that shall be, I am that was. This statement always comes to those who lack faith, in the Old Testament it came with Moses at the burning bush, in the New Testament it came with the disciples on numerous occasions. One particular “ I AM” statement is the one found in [2] John: 14:7, “Jesus said unto them, I Am the way the Truth and the Life: no man comes unto the Father except through Me.” We were in need of a Savior due to our lack of righteousness that was the key of Christ explaining the way to God. [6] The mediator did not come on His own. God so loved that He “gave”, that He “sent” His Son.
We begin the Chapter of Jesus speaking to the disciples in the Upper Room, [3] On page 118 of Jesus is the Christ, “Jesus was talking to the disciples about His imminent departure, finishing with “and where I am going you know the way.” [6] On page 46 of Saved from what by R.C. Sproul, “The promise of entering into Christ’s presence came initially from the lips of Jesus Himself.” While in the Upper Room, Jesus talks about His death, and going to heaven to prepare a place for His disciples and all others who believe in Him. Christ knew He was going to die, and He was willing to lay down His life for His people, but He knew they could not come to be with Him if He did not tell them How to get to where He was going. This time frame of John is the most important in the Chapter leading up

Counterproductive New Age Feminism (I Wrote This for School. I Am in No Way Credible)

...Counter-productive New Age Feminism Luis Miguel G. Foronda English 23: Writing Across the Disciplines Melissa Anne Penaflor September 3, 2015 Feminism has played a vital role in improving the quality of life of women and its significance can be seen in the classic waves of feminism. The first wave of feminism was successful in establishing political equality among males and females with women’s suffrage being one of the milestones of that movement. It was through this movement that women and men were seen as political equals. The second wave deals more on establishing the sexual rights of women; its aim was to de-sexualize and de-objectify women and treat them as more than domesticated human beings (DuBois, 1971). But with the rise of the modern age comes the age of New Feminism, a feminism where a woman’s point of view is being emphasized (Sommers, 1994). Since the New Feminism puts an emphasis on the woman, modern feminists often disregard the standpoint of men, putting to naught the objective of Old Feminism, which is equality. Modern feminists have even reached a point of quarreling with women who don’t share their own viewpoint of feminism. The problem presents itself here because the rise of New Wave feminism is cultivating a culture of counter-productivity due to its sexist, ironic nature and its nature of anti-equality. But this idea of counter-productivity is not shared among these feminists, which is why it is important that we hear their side as well. Modern feminism...

A Book of Books showcases Abelardo Morell's elegant black and-white photographs of unusual books - an impossibly large dictionary, illustrated volumes whose characters appear to leap off the page, and water-damaged books that take on sculptural form. Final Critical Thinking

...experience. During this experience I gave up drinking soda and only replaced it with water. I took a personality test and learned a lot about why I am the way that I am. Also, I started journaling for my emotional health and well being. I was challenged because I thought that overall I had a pretty open mind and was relatively good at thinking through things critically. Through my personality test I was seen to be someone to avoid conflict, which naturally mean that I am not great at looking at things critically. I am very good at taking things at face value and that I believe is one of my weaknesses when it comes to critical thinking. Through this experience though I have identified that weakness and been able to learn and understand different ways in which to think through something critically and it has given me better insight into many of my everyday encounters. I personally am addicted to soda, this is my caffeine intake and so I suppose it is the caffeine that I am addicted to. In order to incorporate the ILP into my everyday starting with body, I chose to remove soda from my diet and replace it with water. At first it was a struggle. I believed that I would just be able to stop and have no issues and that I would feel better for doing so. I was very wrong. I had to wean off of it slowly. When I decided to quit drinking it cold turkey I would get these horrible headaches and was so very tired. Although I wanted to give up I did not. I simply started over and gave up...

Why Working With Others Is Important

...my dealings with others, there are many ways in which I could profit from some kind of change. In the workplace, and in my career, working with and near others is {{not something that I can not get away from}}?. It is an integral part of day to day operations. Things tend to run much more smoothly when everyone is happier. This is one reason that I desire affiliation. I do not like for things to go wrong, and I like to keep people happy. Working is much easier if people feel like they are working in a positive environment, and, in turn, has a higher rate of productivity. Staying on task when I need to, helps me be able to get my work done in a timely manner, while still being able to balance my working relations with others. ...misread signals and take things I say wrong just like with anyone else in the world. I thought it would be more meaningful and insightful if the peer reviews were done by people who know me. The people I asked to do the surveys are close to me. I know they gathered their perceptions over time by coming around me and interacting with me through conversations and actions. They got their information to gather a perception from how I am on a day to day basis and how I carry myself everyday in my life. One of the peer perceptions was done by a person that does not know me as well. This way I got a chance to review what was said to see if I am viewed equally across the board with those that do know me very personally and those who do not. I am confident in the way I present myself to others as a whole. I wanted to make sure I come across as the person I am inside. I reviewed my face-to-face communication styles survey. It said that when it comes to dominance, I am neutral. I don’t always have to be in control. My dramatic score revealed that I am for the most part neutral, but that I am a bit less dramatic. My contentious/ argumentative level showed that I am again neutral, but a bit less contentious. When it comes to my animated score it was flat at zero saying I sometimes use sustained eye contact, facial expressions, and gestures. My impression leaving score is neutral, but more than not. It also said that I am pretty relaxed and avoiding to nervousness. I am also attentive. My open level...

An Analysis of the Strengths and Weaknesses of My Own Style, Particularly in Connection with Creativity, Management, Change and Development.

...significant effect on the way people set about solving problems, making decisions, communicating and relating to each other. And cognitive style refers to our preference for thinking, working and behaving in particular ways. Five key dimensions Under the five key dimensions on which people differ in their degree of openness, organization, sociability, agreeableness and sensitivity, I would compare my strengths and weaknesses with these five domains. Openness and problem solving Differences in the degree of openness follow from the degree of variety people and value and their different ways of viewing the world. I am an implementer rather than an innovator. Strength: I often feel happy working within my company, adapting what problems are and focusing on doing things better. I always take a hands-on approach to get things done and work well with routine. My ideas are usually well-suited and turned into workable ways or policies. I am willing to have changes. Weaknesses: I am not curious enough to think and play with new ideas, and not always present innovative possibilities. The one who is good at coming up with new ideas in connection with an overall picture is seldom me. Organization and priorities Another key difference concerns the value placed on organization versus spontaneity. I am an organizers rather than a spontaneous people. Personality Reflection

...Personality Reflection Shannon Johnson PSY/250 10/05/2015 Phoenix Personality Reflection How would I define personality? To me personality is made of so many different things. It takes allot of individual traits to make up someone’s personality. The way that you have been raised from just a little baby. The DNA that has started your foundation in life. What your beliefs are. Five factors have been narrowed down. * Openness = Appreciation for emotion, art, unusual ideas, and a variety of experience * Conscientiousness = Mostly dependable, organized, goals, and self-discipline * Extraversion = Positive energy, assertive, positive emotions, seeks stimulation from others * Agreeableness = Cooperative, trusting, compassionate, competitive * Neuroticism = unpleasant emotions, anger, anxiety, low stability Remember OCEAN To me people are all different. Might have the same hair color, like the same kind of tv shows, even the same first name. Personality comes from traits that you are born with and traits that are learned. If two people go through the exact same thing that does not mean that, they will react or feel the same way. Everyone in this world is unique in his or her own way. Personality is what we have in order to live life on life’s terms. . Every person on this earth thinks of things differently. Personality is an individual’s thoughts, feelings, behaviors and how the individual sees and acts with each altogether. To understand different...
