| Similarities | Differences | HCI | HCI (human-computer interaction) is the study of how people interact with computers and to what extent computers are or are not developed for successful interaction with human beings | An important HCI factor is that different users form different conceptions or mental models about their interactions and have different ways of learning and keeping knowledge and skills (different "cognitive styles" as in, for example, "left-brained" and "right-brained" people). In addition, cultural and national differences play a part. Another consideration in studying or designing HCI is that user interface technology changes rapidly, offering new interaction possibilities to which previous research findings may not apply. Finally, user preferences change as they gradually master new interfaces. | UX | User experience design (UXD or UED) is the process of enhancing user satisfaction by improving the usability, ease of use, and pleasure provided in the interaction between the user and the product.[1] User experience design encompasses traditional human–computer interaction (HCI) design, and extends it by addressing all aspects of a product or service as perceived by users. | As technology evolves, the goal of UX/HCI is to make it easier for people to use all kinds of digital technologies to accomplish their goals. This includes reducing the barriers to using these tools, whatever the physical ability of the user or the nature of the task; creating a positive user experience including visual and structural elements; ensuring the user can easily navigate the site/device and find what they are looking for; and creating content which is understandable and accessible to the user. | UI | The user interface, in the industrial design field of human–machine interaction, is the space where interactions between humans and machines occur. | The user interface (UI) is everything designed into an information device with which a human being may interact -- including display screen, keyboard, mouse, light pen, the appearance of a desktop, illuminated characters, help messages, and how an application program or a Web site invites interaction and responds to it. In early computers, there was very little user interface except for a few buttons at an operator's console. The user interface was largely in the form of punched card input and report output. | ID | In designing, human–computer interaction, and software development, interaction design, often abbreviated ID, is "about shaping digital things for people’s use",[1] alternately defined as "the practice of designing interactive digital products, environments, systems, and services | Interaction design is about shaping digital things for people’s use.The Goal of ID is to * Develop usable products * Usability means easy to learn, effective to use and provide an enjoyable experience * Involve users in the design process | UCD | 1. 2. 3. User-centered design (UCD) is a process (not restricted to interfaces or technologies) in which the needs, wants, and limitations of end users of a product, service or process are given extensive attention at each stage of the design process. | Human/User Centered Design is a design philosophy that puts the needs of the person using the system over the needs of the system. In other words, if there is a choice between making the user do something extra to achieve their goal or making the System do it for the user, then the choice would be to burden the system, not the user |

Comparison between Usable, Useful and Used:- Useful | Usable | Used | The more usable a tool is, the better it works and the more useful it is. So if we want to build truly excellent products, they must be usable, you can't really make a truly useful tool if it's not really usable. It's a change in thinking from requirements gathering and specification to understanding what the people who will be using the software want to achieve? What their goals are and how they go about achieving them? | Usability is the ease of use and learnability of a human-made object. The object of use can be a software application, website, book, tool, machine, process, or anything a human interacts with. Usability is how easy or difficult something is to use. Usability can be measured through a scientific process focused on evaluating user critical tasks and the ability. Usability includes how efficient something is, how easy it is to learn, and the ability of the item to satisfy the user. | Being used is the term mostly used for the object or the modules that were handy or useful one but after performing their particular jo or certain task They are no considered anymore or re-engineered. But only left for increasing the user experience when needed. |

In addition to schoolwork, I like to do housework, too. Everything in my house is very neat and clean. Secondly, I have a part time job at a market in Picayune. It is a long way from my house in Slidell. I work five days a week. ...Term Paper General Instructions: You will be required to write and submit a term paper on the topic “liberty and a functioning democracy”. The main objective for this course activity is to evaluate your ability to integrate your knowledge from Modules 2 through 12 and, most importantly, to use this knowledge to critically examine the importance of the concepts “liberty” and “positive freedom” in liberal representative democratic governments. Specific Instructions: 1. A good term paper must be argumentative. As such, a perspective or reasoned opinion is required. Moreover, your paper must have the following parts: introduction, body, conclusion, and references. The introduction puts forth the issue and your thesis statement. A thesis statement is your “main point” or “main reason” which is basically your main position or stance on the issue – liberty and its critical importance in a healthy democracy against the backdrop of the notion of “positive freedom”. It serves as your overall argument. In other words, you must form an opinion by making positive or negative comments about the concepts and/or issue. To help you form an opinion, a general guide question is being provided: Does “big government” (one that helps ensure its peoples’ well-being by providing the means to live a life of dignity, such as education and health) opens the door for government to abuse its power, which leads to the erosion of personal and economic liberty, and, in turn, democracy...

...seemed on edge. Precariously he appeared to sit over a mental abyss. Naturally I couldn’t ascertain his problem. How could I; I knew as much about him as the identity of Jack The Ripper. Indvividual sweat beads raced down his forehead, sliding from left to right and back again like ones brain upon ponder of a fate related decision. “I DID THE RIGHT THING!” The jury jerked his way, then adjerned slowly as his head hunched with embarassment. Sharply his hand delved into his pocket for his earphones, though returned empty handed. He seemed incredibly in need of a distraction. Perhaps the occasion was too much for him. Or maybe something much more serious was going on. The furnace flickered. How was it that such a pale and personally dry woman could produce such an array of colour in her most lifeless of moments. It was quite incredible. Was that green mixed with the natural orangy redness. Blue? Yellow? Purply brown beige indigo squirrel peas five sound up updownoroverleftrightplunge dangeeeeeeeeeeeeer... The crematorium shook furiously as the my younger brother break-danced on the spot. Sharply switching between laying up straight and sitting down back-on-seat. Though this particular move the doctor likes to call seizure. It had been years since his last fit. Great Aunt Sonia screamed well as he flipped like a salmon over on to her lap. Quick as it begun he zapped still. Mouth like pale he let fly... “I HELPED HER...

...was displayed when I was pupil. Every classmate treated me as their best friend naturally. This situation gave me a good opportunity to get to know everyone’s strength and needs. The ability to gain instant popularity is not human nature, and neither is mine. But my parents set me good example. My father is a business man who told me that keeping honest and smiling is one of the best ways to make customers come back again. And my mother said that keep their secret to others is the guarantee that they will confide to you. Under the impact of these two elements I have become a man who always was the soul of a team without being aware of it. However, it does not mean that I was to please everyone on purpose. The third day I came into junior school I fought with a classmate because he did not like the way I deterred him from loudly talking in the library. It made me realize that the smooth implementation of rules involves a right method. So I adopted a soft style to communicate to the people around me using advises rather than orders. I did not get any experience in management during senior school. Because all the members in this best senior school were study-oriented, no one would break the atmosphere of learning. But when I recall these 3 years time, it still enlightens me. I noticed that we can make a system work well by collecting the right members and instilling a positive team culture to them. From on my studies in Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) I made excellent performance...

Personal Narrative: I Am Not The Average American Student

...I am not the average American student. My paternal grandmother is the reason I am here; she came to the United States over 40 years ago and was finally naturalized as a citizen last year. I am proud to have been part of her journey and learn values such as integrity and passion for learning. My grandmother did not give up learning American history and government because of a language barrier. She is a determined woman who knew that someday all her hard work would pay off. I read and learned with her; when she was finally able to test, I remember saying to her in Spanish, "I am going to help you get that certificate that will end all my nightmares that I had of you being taken away." She is my inspiration to go far and continue the legacy of accomplishments....
