...Weekly Journal Date: 12/15/14 Day: Monday Time: 3:40 pm I didn’t get anything done on the project this weekend. I hope the other team members fared better than I did. I did look over the project management reference guide. I better understanding of what’s expected for the capstone. The reason I didn’t get much done was because I was getting stuff ready for Christmas. Every time I thought I was finished, I’d get another call saying I need more help. I thought I’d only be busy on Thursday, but that didn’t work out. I got a call on Friday and Saturday as well. I should’ve got started yesterday but that wasn’t happening either, football Sunday. So I guess I’ll have to make it up this weekend. This project is going to be difficult. It entails a lot of work. We have to come up with a project name, which we haven’t done yet. We have to have a risk management plan, a change management plan, a quality management plan, and a project charter. All of which is going to take careful planning and a lot of research. Hopefully we will be able to come to the same conclusions on how this should be laid out, financed and implemented. I think we have a pretty good group of people, Clinton, Stephanie, I, and Said I think. I’m confident that Mr. Swope will give us all the help we’ll need. Also I’m so glad this is the last quarter, the end is near. I can’t wait to graduate. Date: 12/22/2014 Day: Monday Time: 10:45 pm I’m feeling better about this project, now that we got some understanding...

...in Indianapolis, to ESPN on Monday morning. More from ESPN.com Patriots coach Bill Belichick said Monday afternoon that the organization will "cooperate fully with whatever questions they ask us and whatever they want us to do." He added that the first time he heard about the issue was Monday morning. "I can't imagine," he said in an interview later Monday with Boston radio station WEEI. "I really don't know what to say or know anything about what we're talking about here. Whatever it is, we'll cooperate with them the best we can." Patriots quarterback Tom Brady laughed when asked about the report. "I think I've heard it all at this point ... it's ridiculous," Brady said Monday morning during his weekly interview with WEEI. "I don't even respond to stuff like this." Citing a person familiar with the background of the matter, Newsday reported Monday that the Colts first noticed something unusual after an interception by Colts linebacker D'Qwell Jackson late in the second quarter. Newsday reported that Jackson then gave the ball to a member of the Colts' equipment staff, who noticed the ball seemed underinflated. At that point, coach Chuck Pagano and general manager Ryan Grigson were notified, and Grigson alerted NFL director of football operations Mike Kensil, according to the report. Pagano said he did not notice issues with the football, and he didn't specify when asked whether the Colts had reported the issue to officials. "We talk just like they talk to officials [before...

...This past episode of Monday Night Raw was a feel good moment when three of the most popular women on NXT arrived on the main roster. Becky Lynch, Charlotte, and the current NXT Women's Champion Sasha Banks were welcomed with open arms by the fans and truly deserve to be on the main stage for their hard work and dedication. Since Stephanie McMahon declared that there will be a "revolution" and real competition in the Divas Division, there should be some excitement and positivity for the WWE Universe and the division as a whole. But to me, based on the history and the current problems in the company involving the women, I'll start truly believing it when I see it. Many fans like myself were "marking out" when those three appeared on Raw. I've...

...dollars. That’s not all. Anything that looks like the 2009 stimulus law won’t fly either, so more than $45 billion for rehabilitating schools and homes is essentially dead on arrival. “I don’t believe members are going to be interested in pursuing that,” House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) told reporters Monday. “I’m certainly not. There are perhaps laudable goals behind all the proposals, [but] the fact is we don’t have the money. And we’ve got to prioritize. And right now, it’s about getting people back to work.” The surest bet is Obama’s $240 billion proposal to slash the payroll tax in half for workers and employers. Republicans are increasingly questioning whether the tax holiday actually creates jobs, but if they oppose it, they could be blamed for a tax hike next year once the current holiday expires. This could be a significant win for the president. But a different tax provision — Obama’s $4,000 tax credit for employers that hire the long-term unemployed — probably isn’t likely to pass, as Republicans signal a coolness to the idea. There are stylistic differences as well. Like a teenager annoyed by a nagging parent, House Republicans recoil each time Obama demands that they “pass this bill.” They don’t like that Obama sent it to Capitol Hill as a single legislative package. They have no intention of signing off on most of the proposal, let alone the whole thing, lawmakers and aides say. “I don’t think the...

...“Anorexia has the highest fatality rate of any mental illness, it’s estimated that 4% of anorexic individuals die from complications of the disease” (Eating Disorder Hope). Is anorexia nervosa an illness caused by negative social conditions or is it a mental illness/mental disorder? After reading “The Slender Trap” written by Trina Piscatelli, I don’t agree with Piscatelli when she states in her reading that negative social conditions are the cause of anorexia nervosa in young women. Anorexia nervosa is a mental illness/mental disorder. According to Mayo Clinic the definition of mental illness is “…disorders that affect your mood, thinking and behavior. Examples of mental illness include depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, eating...

...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Monday, March 12, 2012 My Cousin Vinny: a story about legal education The Abnormal Use blog is celebrating the twentieth anniversary of the release of the movie My Cousin Vinny by publishing a series of comments and interviews and also by sponsoring a multi-blog discussion on the movie. Go here to get more information. When my students ask me to recommend movies, I give them a list I have prepared over the years in which I have organized the titles under certain main “themes.” No one is surprised to see My Cousin Vinny on the list, but some are surprised I have listed it under the theme of “legal education.” So, I thought I’d use my contribution to the Abnormal Use blog’s celebration to explain why. One reason I place My Cousin Vinny under the theme of legal education is that it provides so much material you can use in the classroom. For example, you can use the movie to discuss criminal procedure, courtroom decorum, professional responsibility, unethical behavior, the role of the judge in a trial, efficient cross-examination, the role of expert witnesses and effective trial advocacy. Go here, here and here for more on this. But the reference to legal education goes deeper. I think you can use the movie to discuss the most common topic of debate within legal education itself. Interestingly, however, in My Cousin Vinny, the issue is turned on its head. After Vinny’s girlfriend Mona Lisa bails him out for a second time after having been...
