“A Modest Proposal “is an off-putting satirical essay. On the other hand, the piece did explain some aspects of satire. Other than, “Parodies Lost,” cannibalism, had the most impact. The Proposer is convincing the Irish to sell their children, eventually being turned into soup and such. Above all, this is disgusting and eloquent at the same time. Given that this proposal may come out as disturbing, this is a real issue.
