ISPE Self Evaluation

My first goal was to pass my Novice Moves in the Field Test with at least 0.3 points over the average. I recently tested the moves, and I didn't pass. One of the judges passed me, while the other two failed me with anywhere from 0.1 to 0.3 points under. My coach and I have discussed when I should retake the test, and we have agreed on sometime in the beginning of the next school year. Until then, we will go more in-depth for the moves, and break them down further so I can pass with confidence next time.

My second goal was to be able to hold my spin for the needed number of rotations in my program. I am now able to do that very nicely and very consistently, and the tuck portion of the spin is now very stable. Now that the competition season is over, I want to continue working on spins, so my new goal is to be able to do a “haircutter” spin, and hold it for at least five rotations. To reach this goal, I need to stretch, as the position in the spin requires flexibility, and practice. …show more content…
I am now able to do it, but still not very consistently. Also, I need to work on placing the loop on the top of the lobe each and every time, on both the outsides and the insides.
