...impregnable cell (figuratively of course). When I say “impregnable cell”, what I mean is for the language not to be… tainted – I know that this is a very strong word – by the majority of the youth and their slang. I realise that I might be going out of my depth, so let me try to save myself. Of course the English language would never have come to where it is right now without slang, one can have too much of a good thing. I know this is a horrible example but bear with me, I can’t think of anything else for the time being, but just as too much chemotherapy can kill a cancer patient (and a non-cancer patient, for that matter), so can too much slang butcher a language when applied too fast. You need only look around on the internet to see the erosion that has already happened to the language. I stand by my previous choice of words, as this quick development, in some instances, has rendered the language unrecognisable to the point of it being almost physically painful to (try to) read, e.g. “ayo boi u a hoe i onno y u think errone want dat tiny mean coz ain’t no one duz” (link: http://socialmedialifejacket.files.wordpress.com/2013/08/screen-shot-2013-09-02-at-1-02-56-pm.png), or “Goin 2 my bbies conferences! i knw im, gmma gt good reports cuz i gt sum good smart kiddos! i luv u, Aubrey Payton, Desiree & Prince!”, and later “My bbies r doin relly good in school im so proud of em! bext week gnna even betta! luvin al 4 of my bbies!” (link: http://www.mommyish.com/2012/05/16/stfu-parent...

...terms[edit] All social engineering techniques are based on specific attributes of human decision-making known as cognitive biases.[3] These biases, sometimes called "bugs in the human hardware," are exploited in various combinations to create attack techniques, some of which are listed here: Pretexting[edit] Pretexting (adj. pretextual), also known in the UK as blagging or bohoing, is the act of creating and using an invented scenario (the pretext) to engage a targeted victim in a manner that increases the chance the victim will divulge information or perform actions that would be unlikely in ordinary circumstances.[4] An elaborate lie, it most often involves some prior research or setup and the use of this information for impersonation (e.g., date of birth, Social Security number, last bill amount) to establish legitimacy in the mind of the target.[5] This technique can be used to fool a business into disclosing customer information as well as by private investigators to obtain telephone records, utility records, banking records and other information directly from company service representatives. The information can then be used to establish even greater legitimacy under tougher questioning with a manager, e.g., to make account changes, get specific balances, etc. Pretexting can also be used to impersonate co-workers, police, bank, tax authorities, clergy, insurance investigators — or any other individual who could have perceived authority or right-to-know in the mind of...

I have done some research after receiving your mail last week regarding some questions of the postal rule of acceptance and the case of Masters v Cameron (1954) 91 CLR 353. After researching those issues, and based on acceptance set out below, I believe that you will obtain some exact concepts of acceptance on the contract. Thus, I will explain the postal acceptance rule and whether it still operates in Australia or not, discuss how businesses generally modify the postal acceptance rule, and conclude the case of Masters v Cameron more fully below as I understand them. * Postal Acceptance Rule The postal acceptance rule or the mailbox rule, created in 1818, is a term of common law contracts and affect communication of acceptance. It is defined as acceptance by post has been requested or use an appropriate and reasonable means of communication between the parties, then acceptance is taken effect immediately upon the letter posted. This rule determines the timing of acceptance of an offer when mail is concerned as the medium of acceptance. The general principle is that a contract is formed when acceptance is actually communicated to the offeror. Thus, an offer made by letter is not effective until or unless received by the offeree. Acceptance is effective...

Yammer is a hybrid medium that combines traits from many communication technologies, ranging from SMS, IM, email, and traditional weblogs (Ingebricson 2010, p. 12). Yammer is a private social network that brings together people, conversations, content, and business data in a single location. Founded in 2008, Yammer was acquired by Microsoft Corporation in 2012 and is now part of the Microsoft Office Division. More than 200,000 companies worldwide use Yammer to engage employees, collaborate and innovate (Yammer, 2014). By introducing Yammer into Supercheap Auto, all employees can easily stay connected to coworkers and reach the information, collaborate with team members and make an impact at work. And because Yammer can be easily accessed through a web browser or mobile device, we can connect and collaborate anytime, anywhere. What Yammer will bring to our company To succeed with empowered customers, you must empower your employees to solve customer problems (Bernoff & Schadler 2010, p. 7). Yammer could be used to improve employee’s ability and capability, and Ingebricson (2010, p. 3) point out that companies using Yammer have reported that they experience increased benefits in terms of innovation, efficiency, increased inter-unit collaboration. ...CHAPTER ONE INTRODUCTION 1.1 Background of the Study In this particular area of research, I wish to study transformation which plays an important role in pure and applied mathematics. This class of transformation is an integral transformation called the Laplace transform. It is very effective in the study of initial value problem involving linear differential equation with constant coefficient. Laplace transform was first introduced by a French mathematician called Pierre Simon Marquis de Laplace about 1780’s. This method associated with the isolation of the original problem that is function ƒ(t) of a real variable and some function ƒ(s) of a complex variable so that the ordinary differential equation for the function ƒ(t) is transformed into an algebraic equation for ƒ(s) which in most cases can readily be solved. The solution of the original differential equation can be arrived at by obtaining the inverse transformation. The transformation and its inverse can be derived by consulting already prepared table of transform. This method is particularly useful in the solution of differential equation and has more application in various fields of technology e.g. electrical network, mechanical vibrations, structural problems, control systems. Meanwhile in this research work, I shall look into the Laplace transform, the properties of the Laplace transform and the use of this technique in solving delay differential equation will be looked into. 1.2 Statement of the Problem ...

...Part 1: The decision to internationalize Chapter 1: Global Marketing in the firm Purpose of the marketing plan is to create sustainable competitive advantages in the global marketplace. Firms go through mental process. For SME’s, informal process, for larger organization it is often more systematized. Globalization: reflects the trend of firms buying, developing, producing and selling products and services in most countries and regions of the world. Internationalization: Doing business in many countries of the world but often limited to a certain region. Should a company stay at home, or strengthen the global position?? Two dimensions: 1.) Industry globalism (high degree of industry globalism -> many interdependencies between markets, customers and suppliers. Besides, industry is dominated by a few large powerful players (global, like software, cd’s, movies, aircrafts) and the other multidomestic market environment (local, like hairdressing, foods and dairies) 2.) Preparedness for internationalization Degree of preparedness is dependent on the ability to carry out strategies in international marketplace (personal skills, managers’ international experience or financial resources) Well-prepared company is called = mature Figure 1.2 very important decision model in the marketing!! (page 10) “The nine strategic windows” EPRG-framework = worldview of a firm’s business activities. 1.) Ethnocentric home country is superior, controls are highly centralized...
