...Imogen Cunningham Imogen Cunningham was an American photographer, born 1883 in Portland, Oregon, and is today known as one of the first professional woman photographers in American history of photography. Imogen didn't have any desire to become any kind of commercial photographer instead her goal was merely to create art. “My interest in photography has something to do with the aesthetic, and that there should be a little beauty in everything” (C.K 50) Imogen is today most know for her remarkable and beautiful botanical photographs but also for her love of portraiture.
