Managed Care has affected the doctor-patient relationship in many ways. For one thing, it has limited the choices patients have about which doctors they see. This has led to some tensions between doctors and patients. Another thing that has created some resentment is that many doctors have had no choice but to participate with HMOs and have had to settle for lower fees as a result. Providers are being held to higher standards, more closely monitored, and are restricted in the care they can give their patients due to coverage rules. This can cause hard feelings on the part of the patient. Before managed care, the doctors were very independent and patient care was based entirely upon the physician's judgment. Since the advent of managed care, this is no longer the case. The medical industry is now extremely regulated and in many cases the relationship between doctor and patient has taken a backseat to rules and regulations.

Of course, these changes are not all bad. Having a limited choice of physicians can be annoying but it also helps keep the overall cost of care lower. In addition, it means that patients do not switch doctors as often and therefore have the chance to develop long term relationships with their providers. However, this change also means that the average doctor sees far more patients in one day than doctors did before managed care. This can lead to rushed visits and lack of personal attention to patient needs. It is not pleasant to visit a doctor who has one foot out the door the whole time, anxious to get to the next in a long line of patients. It is necessary to see more patients to make up for the lower payments per patient that they receive. Therefore, the very personal nature of medicine has changed to a more professional and removed industry. This means that you must go to the same doctor for quite a long time

The customers have lost confidence in the vehicles produced by GM motors. As of right now GM motors is facing 60 class action lawsuits in United States of America and Canada and it is also facing lawsuit from its shareholders that it failed to monitor and disclose the ignition problem. Second recall was delayed but General Motors as well, their manufactured cars from 2004 to 2007 had problems...
