Implementing the Proposal

As described previously, the primary goal of the proposal is to create a committee, whose primary purpose will be to raise awareness about entrepreneurship in SA to the average South African person. The reason for implementing the proposal is specifically to follow the study of the Ugandan model, which suggested that the attitude of the average Ugandan is extremely positive about entrepreneurship. To create a similar attitude in the average South African citizen , an intensive marketing campaign is necessary, that will raise awareness about entrepreneurship, and the facilities that are in place to aid an individual who is attempting to do so. The implementation of this marketing campaign will take place in three individual phases. These will be carried out as short, mid and long-term plans. The phase 1, short term plan will take place over a period of 6 months, as shown in figure 1. Thereafter, the phase 2 program of events is scheduled to be carried out over the following 18 months, while the third phase of the proposal is planned for the long term of the project, and will continue for at least 3 years thereafter.

...selecting Proposal 2's client/server model for APEX Services Inc.'s (ASI) client case management software. The proposed system is best suited for achieving competitive advantage via an agile information systems architecture. Before implementing the selected proposal, feasibility analysis should be performed, and detailed system design documents and implementation plans need to be developed. Post-system review should be conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the new system at enabling ASI's goals. B. CURRENT SITUATION APEX Services Inc. is a business in the midst of change. Your company has succeeded in managing 29 group homes, but is now expanding into a new market, with plans for rapid growth in the prison management sector. The recommendations I make will be both to meet the company's information system needs in both the short term, and the long term. The long term goal of ASI is to gain a competitive advantage over business rivals, and thereby grow market share and profitability. For ASI, the way to achieve that goal is to develop agile information systems that can rapidly adapt to novel operating environments, as well as fluidly scale to meet the needs of additional contracts. Each managed site will have unique requirements, and ASI's information systems must be able to meet the requirements of each site in a timely, cost-effective fashion. ASI's goals are best served by Proposal 2's client/server model. This model has superior efficiency compared to Proposal 1's...

Business Proposal

...Party Plates and Napkins Company Table of Contents Introduction 3 Benefits of Implementing Microsoft Access 3 Sales and Collaborative Software 4 Table……………………………………………………………………………………………....5 Conclusion 5 References...………………………………………………………………………………….……6 Proposal: Implementation of Microsoft Access Database Introduction Our party plates manufacturing business is growing and our customer base numbers are increasing every month therefore I am writing this proposal to implement a “Relational Database Management system”. The system we are proposing is Microsoft Access. The reason we are proposing to implement this new system is because since our business is growing it is getting cumbersome and time consuming to manage multiple “Excel” files to analyze company’s data. According to article by CPA Janet Samuels and Robert wood they suggest “Data handling and reporting capabilities of access are more efficient” (Samuels, Woods 2007). Excel should be used when we need to create a onetime report by plugging in data, however in access you will have to setup a database to form reports. Therefore, we should implement the relational database so information is forever stored and accessible by employees to create different multiple reports. The benefits of implementing Microsoft Access over Excel are listed below. Benefits of Implementing Microsoft Access 1. We can easily import all of our Excel files in to access by using the External data ribbon. This imported data will be...

...chemical adhesive used in drying paper (XL-4).  Although there was a unanimous vote among the board to construct the plant, another look has raised issues concerning the feasibility of the proposal.         On top of the possibility of the denial of the proposal, there are concerns with the company that hinder the profitability and growth of the organization. First, a decision needs to be made regarding the funding for either the Swedish or Belgian proposal for the production of XL-4. There are various factors that need to be considered in the decision making process, one of which is the return on investment, as well as the possible transfer price between the divisions. Secondly, the company lacks the ability to clearly establish whether they are a centralized or decentralized organization. Issue 1: Accepting either the Swedish or Belgian Proposal         After reviewing the Swedish proposal once again, Mr. Michael Gillot, Roget’s Senior Vice President, has decided to put the proposal on hold to ensure the numbers used to generate the cash flows are accurate. With both Sweden and Belgium offering individual proposals, a thorough analysis is done to determine which proposal is ideal for the organization. After calculating the net present value (NPV) and internal rate of return (IRR) for both proposals, it seems Sweden has a higher NPV, whereas Belgium has a higher IRR (Appendix 1).  However, the difference between the two NPV’s (approximately Skr. 13,000) is relatively small compared...
