Communication is essential in everyday life. Effective communication is also essential to ones success in life. It is important to communicate effectively with others so individuals will be able to express what they think and how they feel without being misunderstood. Not being able to express how you feel or think leads to others not being aware of what you think or feel. This creates the problem of no one never seeing your point of view about things. Effective communication is important so others will be able to understand one another fully. Individuals must learn to pass along information correctly to avoid misinterpretations; this will help to prevent others from thinking you said something else. It is important to remember that successful communication takes place when the receiver correctly interprets the message. When I hear effective communicating I always think of the four key components in the communication process which are encoding, transmission, decoding, and feedback. In undergraduate I was taught if all individuals learn and understand the communication process everyone will be effective communicators and succeed tremendously in life.
Effective communication will help students when they have to come together to do group work and projects. For example, an instructor assigns a group assignment that has four group members and four different components. The most logical way to handle this scenario is to evenly
