...availability requirements associated with the system and, in each case, indicate the degree of importance of the requirements. Confidentiality is provided by two factors: a unique access card and a PIN that functions as a password. A user must have both of these to access the system. Confidentiality is compromised by the fact that most ATM systems connect to various banks, and the source of information cannot be guaranteed to be from a proper ATM. Also, ATMs are public, and can be accessed by the entire population, allowing things like card swipe readers to be used to attack them. The importance of confidentiality is medium to high. If it is the loss of confidence in a limited number of accounts, it is medium, because it does not stop the main functions of the organization and can be corrected. It would be high if a large number of accounts were compromised. Integrity of information at the ATM is provided by the very limited interface that the machine provides to the data stored on the back end. There is no comprehensive GUI or CLI to provide a point of attack. However, the previously mentioned public access and data exchange are threats to integrity. The importance of integrity is medium to high. The alteration of a small number of accounts does not stop the main functions of the organization and can be corrected. The alteration of many could be catastrophic. Availability of the system (and the currency or information it dispenses) is provided by having relatively...

Therefore, the integration of MIS in high-level decision-making is done at the higher level (head office) from the information provided at the lower levels (that is branches like Butembo). However, the banks do share real-time information among branches and the head office. Introduction The history of Management Information System (MIS) starts since long. In 1968, Michael S. Scott Morton wrote a research paper in which he emphasizes the use and emergence of MIS in future. He emphasizes that the future companies will be affected by two things technology and the human comprehension and understanding of decision-making process. Analysis of Managerial Decisions

...hospital administrators what the goals of the company are and what is best for the company. I believe that Mrs. Singh and the hospital administrators value the importance of two different things. Mrs. Singh values the importance of correct data entry into the firm’s management information system. While, the hospital administrators seem to be placing more value on the importance of patient services. In addition, it seems Mrs. Singh does not know what motivates the employees to exert more effort. Economists would view the employees’ actions as the outcomes of maximizing personal utility (Brickley, Smith, & Zimmerman, 2009). During the retreat Mrs. Singh failed to effectively communicate to the administrators the high importance of accurately entering data. She should had stressed how incorrect data could possibly effect the aid that they receive. 2. What information would you want to analyze? I would actually choose to thoroughly analyze the data the management information system is currently asking for. I would also review past reports generated by the system and compare them. It would be highly imperative to insure that the system asked the appropriate questions in order to even produce accurate reports. Mrs. Singh can blame the employees for inputting incorrect information all day. However, if the system is flawed to begin with, the latter issue is a moot point in my opinion. 3. What actions might you recommend to increase the accuracy of the data entry...

...source of the issue is stemming from the lack of information to the direct employees who are inputting the information straight into the system. The hospital administrators need to monitor the employee’s direct collation to the data they are inputting into the system is in fact correct. Possibly the lack of communication resulting from the hospital administrators is an acknowledgement that the employees know of the importance of the correct data input, when in fact they are not aware of the importance and how much the organization is reliant on the information for funding and reporting. One of the biggest issues facing employee and employer relationships is the lack of communication. According to Joseph (2013), “failure to communicate effectively often leads to conflict, which can harm an organization.” If the problem is not correct by the hospital administrators, Vijay Singh may need to go the individual hospitals and have meetings directly with the individuals inputting the information. This is a means of stressing the importance and also for him to know who exactly maybe causing this issue. The information I would have to need to analyze for the organization would be the reports themselves. What information specifically is being entered incorrectly? Possibly the issue is stemming from a computer glitch in the system. The system could be missing an area where it needs to be filled in or there is a need for an update to the system...
