This paper will discuss her question, research method and her results from conducting her research. A young lady, Lauren Hodge, researched topic was about carcinogens, “a substance that causes cancer” and which substance causes the cancerous cells to develop (merriam-webster, 2016). The topic of carcinogens first intrigued Lauren while visiting the doctor’s office as she read a lawsuit. She also knew that grilled chicken is a healthier choice to prepare chicken but the marinades that is used to season the chicken is the reason why the cancerous cells grow on the chicken. Her mother cooked for dinner grilled chicken and noticed that there was change in the meat; the meat turned whit around the edges. She wanted to know how and why these changes occur in the process.
