Importance of effective communication
Communication is the activity of conveying information through the exchange of thoughts, messages, or information, as by speech, visuals, signals, writing, or behavior. Effective communication means the ability to express ourselves well, both verbally and non-verbally, in ways which are proper to our cultures and situations.
People in organizations usually spend 75 percent of their daily time on communication through writing, reading, listening, speaking, inter-debate etc. Effective communication is an essential component for organization success.

Importance of Effective Communication Effective Communication is for development of the individual, organization, society, nation, country.

* 'Communication' is a key instrument to create relations, to strengthen relations between the two people or a group of people. Without communication methods, there is no human relation and human relations rehire effective communication methods, tools, positive words, skills etc. * Effective communication enables to maintain a sound relationship in the working environment. Effective and timely communication promotes cordial relations and work culture among the employees for increasing production and creates healthy and happy environment within and outside the organization. * Effective communication helps in Rationalizing
This function enables management to explain the reasons for instructions in a way that workers can understand, rationalizing is also important for enabling workers to bring issues to the attention of management. If a worker identifies a motivation problem, for example, he may communicate this upward formally to management and use rationalization to highlight the potential impact of the problem on profitability. * Effective communication helps in Problem-Solving
Most companies hold regular meetings to discuss issues such as production cycles, delivery times, price margins and other areas where unusual situations could arise that may affect the performance of a business. In these meetings, effective communication plays an important role in tabling problems, brainstorming potential responses and finalizing solutions. In this way, a company obtains maximum benefit from the abilities of those involved in the communication..

* Basis of Decision-Making:
Effective Communication is the basic requirement for making decisions. In its absence it may not be possible for the top management to take any decision. Information must be received before any meaningful decision can be made. Again to implement the decision effectively it becomes necessary to have a good communication system.
Without effective communication it may not be possible to issue instructions and taking effective steps to appraise the performance achieved. Chester I. Barnard says that first executive function is to develop and maintain a system of communication. * Establishment of Effective Leadership:
Communication is the basis of direction and leadership. It is an influencing process. By developing the skill of communication, a manager can be a real leader of his subordinates. A good system of communication brings them in close contact with each other and removes misunderstanding of all types between the leader and his subordinates. * Morale-Building and Motivation:
An efficient system of communication enables the management to mould the attitude of the subordinates. Most of the conflicts in business are not basic but are caused by misunderstood motives and ignorance of the facts. Proper and timely communication between the interested parties reduces the friction and minimises that which may arise invariably. Communication improves the human relations in the industry.
