Impulsivity is a multifactorial construct that involves the tendency to act on a whim, displaying behavior characterized by little or no forethought, reflection, or consideration of the consequences. In Fitzgerald’s novel The Great Gatsby, the author raises the idea of how impulsive actions of a person could led to unpleasant consequences. The novel was set during “Roaring Twenties”, a term used to describe the year of 1920s, also known as an era of the wealth unprecedented through the cultural dynamism.
