SLAVES AND INDENTURED SERVANTS

Slaves were the lowest people on society hierarchy. Life for them was like a punishment. They wouldn’t be able to do anything, just work and obey. They were treated as animals. People in those times were so mean, they didn’t care about their feelings, and maybe they even thought they didn’t have feelings. Slaves were hated by all the people, they wouldn’t even want to talk to them. Things were just bad. And as years passed, it didn’t get better at all. Laws were going out, and none of them seemed to be good to slaves. They were treated worse each time. They weren’t allowed to have guns or anything to defend themselves, they weren’t allowed to do what other people would do, and they were rejected by society. This …show more content…
The journey could get long and a lot of people wouldn’t survive, and for those whose wouldn’t have paid their passage, their family would have to pay it still, and if they were minors they would have to work for them until they were 21 years old.
