...Programming Development – Personal Learning Management Programming Development: Personal Learning Management Part 3 Author: Stephanie Heinrichs University of Phoenix – PRG 211 3/22/14 Programming Development: Personal Learning Management The part of the program I believe to need an array would be the entire program. The Subject, the Classes, the weeks, the keywords, and the notes. I am still unsure as to how the arrays work, I have been trying to practice them, but there is not much in the way of instruction on how to use them. I know it can be a list or a table, which works well with the program. For example, the program can be a table starting from the subject, breaking down into the classes, which break down into the weeks that break down into the keywords and the notes. In my opinion, the only way the program could be put together in its simplest form would be in an array. Using an array can reduce the number of variable names needed in a program because a single array can be used instead of a collection of simple variables to store related data (Venit, Stewart & Drake, Elizabeth; Prelude to Programming Concepts and Design; Chapter 6- Arrays: Lists and Tables.). So using an array is the best way to simplify my entire program. The best part of the array is being able to set up the search for the index of keywords. It will make being able to type in the keyword...

...1 India and China 1 Friend, enemy, rival, investor How can India make its economic relations with China less lopsided? Jun 30th 2012 | MUMBAI | from the print edition [pic] [pic] DEALINGS between India and China are stunted in many ways. Rich cultural links once existed long ago, from the study of eclipses to Buddhist chanting, but hardly anyone remembers that today, laments Amartya Sen, a Nobel-prize-winning economist. After a love-in during the 1950s, China thumped India in a border war in 1962, and the two have continued to growl over their high-altitude frontier since. Indians envy China's economic rise, but console themselves by pointing out that it is no democracy. Aside from stiff displays of fraternity at summits, most recently the G20 bash in Mexico on June 18th-19th, China seems not to think much about India at all. Investment flows are negligible. There are still no direct flights between Beijing or Shanghai and Mumbai, India's commercial hub. And yet a huge shift has taken place in the make-up of Indian trade. When India began to liberalise its economy in 1991, the West still dominated the world economy, and it was to the West that India turned for trade. China's rise has now changed everything—for India, too. China is now its third-largest trading partner in goods, and the biggest if you include Hong Kong. For China's East Asian neighbours a dominant trade with China is a given, but Indians are still trying to digest the development. Rising trade...

...In the field of Industrial/Organizational psychology, one of the most researched areas is the relationship between job satisfaction and job performance (Judge, Thoresen, Bono, & Patton,2001). In Judge et al. (2001), it was found by Brayfield and Crockett (1955) that there is only a minimal relationship between job performance and job satisfaction. However, since 1955, Judge et al. (2001) cited that there are other studies by Locke (1970), Schwab & Cummings (1970), and Vroom (1964) that have shown that there is at least some relationship between those variables. Judge et al. (2001) argued that there are seven different models that can be used to describe the job satisfaction and job performance relationship. Some of these models view the relationship between job satisfaction and job performance to be unidirectional, that either job satisfaction causes job performance or vice versa. One construct that has been used to predict job performance is personality. This is one area that is criticized by many people as something that may not be valid to use (Rothstein & Goffin, 2000). Despite these criticisms, most researchers feel that studying the relationship between personality and job performance is extremely useful (Goffin, Rothstein, & Johnston,2000). According to Buss (1992), the Big Five factors (which for this study are Cattell’s five Global factors of: extraversion, anxiety, tough-mindedness, independence, and self-control) have some influence on job performance. Pastrana In partial fulfillment of the course requirements in Psychology 118 (Field Methods) Submitted to Mr. JOHNREV B. GUILARAN Division of Social Sciences College of Arts and Sciences University of the Philippines Visayas October 9, 2012 2 Leadership Identity Development: The Influence of Fraternity or Sorority Membership on College Student Leaders Fraternities and sororities began more than a century ago as relationship building organizations in which leadership development could be cultivated (Cory, 2011) but until recently, research found that fraternity and sorority membership may hinder student development and negatively impact the wellbeing of college students (Maisel, 1990; Wechsler, 1996). According to Kelly (2008) benefits of membership are realized by fraternity and sorority student leaders but struggled to refocus on their espoused values and mission: scholarship, service, leadership and relationships over the last several decades (Cory, 2011). Conversely, incidents of hazing, alcohol abuse, sexual assault, and substandard performance in the classroom, often overshadow the benefits of membership (Cory, 2011) suggesting that fraternal organizations have strayed from their traditional and founding values (Garret, n.d.; Maisel, 1990)...

...Jim Allen, the president, that if McGrew expects to maintain its share of the market, it will also have to manufacture locally. Allen is in a quandary. The market is too good to lose, but McGrew has had no experience with foreign manufacturing operations. Because Brazilian sales and repairs have been handled by the distributor, no one in McGrew has had any firsthand experience in that country. Allen has made some rough calculations that indicate the firm can make money by manufacturing in Brazil, but the firm’s lack of marketing expertise in the country troubles him. He calls in Joan Beal, the export manager, and asks her to prepare a list of all the options open to McGrew, with their advantages and disadvantages. Allen also asks Beal to indi- cate her preference. Answer the following questions. This paper should be 3 pages. It should be single spaced, 12 size font, Times New Roman font style. 1. Assume you are Joan Beal. Prepare a list of all the options, and give the advantages and disadvantages of each. 2. Which of the options would you recommend? 3. Assuming that the president’s calculations are correct and that a factory to produce locally the number of machines that McGrew now exports to Brazil will offer a satisfactory return on investment, what special information about Brazil will you want to...

...a meal at the Chili's restaurant in Dedham, Massachusetts. The tab for the meal came to $56, but the group fled from the restaurant without paying and drove off. A regular patron of the restaurant saw them leave without paying and followed them in his own car. The teenagers saw the patron following them, so they stopped their car and confronted him in a parking lot at a nearby retail center. The pursuing patron yelled that he had seen them skip out on their bill at Chili's and that they would not get away with it. The patron's car was unmarked; it bore no Chili's insignia. He wore civilian clothing and no uniform or other insignia of employment at Chili's. The teenagers then fled the lot, and a high-speed chase ensued through residential side streets. During the chase, the patron used his cell phone to call a Chili's employee and provided him with a description of the teenagers' car and the path of the chase. The Chili's employee then related this information to a 911 dispatcher. In the course of the high-speed chase, the teenagers collided with a cement wall and were injured. The pursuing patron left the crash scene area and was never identified. Bosse sued the restaurant owner, Brinker Restaurant Corp. doing business as Chili's Grill and Bar, for damages related to the crash. Bosse argued that the actions of the parties resulted in the Chili's patron being converted to an agent of Chili's, that he conducted his chase as an agent of the restaurant, and that the restaurant...
