...Phase 2 Individual Project ENTR615-1403A-01 Bolivar Coba Professor Theresa Pavone July 25, 2014 The video presentation by Simon Sinek on “How great leaders inspire action” is a very informative lecture that best describes how consumers are attracted to a product. Simon states that consumers make a decision on products based on why a manufacture or company develops their idea versus on the end result (Sinek, 2009). Based on the lecture of Simon the company that I am thinking of developing will be based on the passion of the customer service industry that I believe in. Upon researching on businesses that utilize ideas that my company will use, I found that we have three ideas which are: Create the Context, define and Train to a Standard; a Common Language for Your Organization, Design Customer Service Training Focused on Attitudes and Behaviors (Johnson, 1998). The type of business that I am planning on launching is in the customer service industry. The reason I have decided to enter this venture is because many companies that would like develop a strong customer service based employees, would have to obtain the proper training in order to meet set goals. The main reason why I decided to choose this venture is because I have over ten years of customer service. I have worked in the banking industry. In the banking industry I started as a bank teller then being promoted to customer service, then to a call center. The banking industry is a very tough working environment...

...Running head: THE CONCEPT OF ADAPTATION 1 Sensory Adaptation Experiment Aspects of Psychology American InterContinental University November 20, 2013 THE CONCEPT OF ADAPTATION 2 Process and Results of Each Experiment Experiment 1 with Sandpaper- After rubbing my index finger on the very coarse sandpaper a few times, I would rate the coarseness on a scale of 7 (very coarse). This experiment gave me a tingling feeling in my finger. After a minute or so from resting my index finger, I ran the same index finger on the sandpaper and found that it wasn’t as coarse as the first time. I would rate its coarseness at a 3 which led my finger to not react to the paper as much as the first time. So I feel that my senses adapted to the coarseness of the sandpaper. Experiment 2 with Sugar Water and Fresh Water- I took one cup and put two teaspoons of sugar in with fresh water and stirred it. In the second cup I only put fresh water in it. I then took the cup with sugar water in it and took a sip and swished it around in my mouth. I noticed that I could feel my taste buds were stimulating but after a few seconds they became less stimulated. When I had tasted the fresh water and swished it around, I noticed that I tasted a hint of salt. It surprised me because I wasn’t expecting to taste salt beings...

...TO: Michelle Dietrich FROM: XXXX XXXXXX DATE: November 29, 2015 SUBJECT: Target Market Dear Ms. Dietrich, Given the current state of the economy, having a well-defined target market is more important than ever (Porta, 2010). As much as we would like to we cannot afford target everyone. Target marketing will allow us to direct our marketing dollars and create a brand message for our specific market that is more likely to buy from us than other markets. By doing this it will create a more inexpensive, well-organized, and effective way to reach our potential customers and generate business. Another benefit of having a clearly defined target audience is that it would be easier for us how to determine where and how to market our company. Defining our target market will be the most difficult part. Once we realize whom we plan on targeting, it will be easier to determine which media use to reach them and what marketing messages will resonate with them. We can save money and get a better return on investment by when we define our target market. We will save money by sending direct mail to those who fit our criteria instead of send them to everyone in the Zip code. Demographic Characteristics Our target market should include people who share similar demographic characteristics as our current customers. Demographics include items such as age, gender, income level and amount of education (Joseph, n.d.). For example, demographic information may show you that a likely...

...Reduction of Juvenile Delinquency in the United States Terry Gatlin AIU Online Abstract In the United States, juveniles involved with the law are treated differently from adults. However, this has not always been the case. In the earlier times, children were thrown into jails with adults. Long prison terms and corporal punishment were common. Some children were even sentenced to death for their crimes. Juvenile Delinquency in America In the United States today Juvenile Delinquency is getting way out of hand, when it comes to harsh crimes being committed by our youth. Today the majority of the states have set an age limit in which determines whether the person who is accused of a serious/non serious crime is treated as an adult or a juvenile. However, most states in the U.S. consider those who are under the age of 18 as juveniles. But some states have set their limits to 16 or 17years of age. Consequently, most of the states if a juvenile is charged with a serious crime, such as murder etc. that child can be sent to a criminal court and could be tried as an adult. The public appears much more aware of juvenile crime today than in the past; this is due in part to more thorough reporting techniques and greater emphasis on publicizing delinquent acts in the media. Official U.S. crime reports in the 1980s showed that about one-fifth of all persons arrested for crimes are under 18 years of age. In the 1970s, juvenile...

...Developing a Success Plan Creating an Action Plan I have started working on achieving my academic goals by going back to school. I will start my assignments as they are available and complete them before the due date. Most of my free time is after 8 pm, so that is likely when a bulk of the work will be done. I plan to stay focused by working in a quiet, cool area and stay ahead of the due date not waiting unit the last minute. I’m going to study the reading materials at the beginning and middle of the week in small sections. Once I have completed a few classes I plan to add a second concentration for Health Care Management. I would like to complete my degree with a double concentration to broaden my career options. After I graduate I will look into taking my education even further with a Master’s Degree. Having an education and a career is very important to me. I can only hope to set an example for my children so that they realize the importance of it as well and strive to do even better than me. Identifying and Setting up a Support System My husband is a great support system. He helps me to stay accountable and is always there for me if I need an opinion or help. My parents are also a wonderful support system who are willing to do anything to make sure I accomplish my academic goals and succeed. All three of them constantly ask if I need help with the chores or children so that I can do my coursework and stay on track. My student adviser keeps me on track and accountable...

Project management is widely recognized as a practical way of ensuring that projects meet objectives and products are delivered on time, within budget and to correct quality specification, while at the same time controlling or maintaining the scope of the project at the correct level. Project management includes developing a project plan, which includes defining and confirming the project goals and objectives, identifying tasks and how goals will be achieved, quantifying the resources needed, and determining budgets and timelines for completion. It also includes managing the implementation of the project plan, along with operating regular 'controls' to ensure that there is accurate and objective information on 'performance' relative to the plan, and the mechanisms to implement recovery actions where necessary. Projects usually follow major phases or stages (with various titles for these), including feasibility, definition, project planning, implementation, evaluation and support/maintenance Principles of project management The Success Principle The main goal of project management...
