I. Introduction
a. Attention: Did you know that dogs that are smaller in size such as a Collie orpaniels are the most violent dogs. Although they are violent they don’t seriously injure anyone because of their small frame.
b. Credibility: I own a Pitbull that is about a year and a half old. But I have always had friends or family who have owned a Pitbull.
c. Preview of Main points: The Main points that I will be focusing on are 1) statistics of pit bulls and other dogs 2) history of the pit-bull. 3) and I will finally tell you about how you can help these misunderstood animals.

A study in 2006 from the Journal of Interpersonal Violence shows us that the pit bulls that attacked owners, were more than likely to have aggressive charges on their record such as drugs, violence involving children and families.
c. Pit bulls were known in the early 1900s as “nanny dogs” because they were tolerant and gentle with children. Helen Keller’s dog, “Sir Thomas” was a pit bull, and so was “Petey,” the canine mascot of the Little Rascals.
III. Background of Pit bulls
a. The History of Pit-bulls was vicious but, when the Pitbull finally got to America, their perception began to shift. Dog fighting was still big however. But as settlers traveled, the job of the Pitbull began to change. They began to become an all-purpose dog from collecting sheep and cattle to being guardians and protecting their families.
b. Pitbull’s have been fighting for their name for generations. It hasn’t just started and the funny thing is is that Pit Bulls as puppies love everyone one and everything.
c. When a Pitbull gets a neglectful owner, they become mean whereas it is from not feeding them correctly, or just abusing them. The most aggressive would be when they use their Pit bulls for dog fighting because they are fast and have powerful
