The company was founded in 2004 at its present location in Lewisburg. The company currently has a very limited online presence with no products available for purchase and only one page; there are no active links or details of the business showing. This marketing strategy is targeted at increasing1 the customer base through targeted advertising and new product sales. Viability of Product or Service. CJ’s Auto Body is primarily a service provider and not an online retailer or “brick and mortar” store. The Company would greatly benefit by having an online presence. The Company does not have a very strong on-line foothold and has dedicated very few resources towards marketing; primarily the business is sustained locally by word of mouth. Increasing the online presence will allow the Company to better compete with similar service providers in the Indianapolis and surrounding areas. “Super Cool Media” recently published an article that said a website can generate revenue increases of 5% to 40%. A 5% increase in revenue would easily cover the cost of creating a stronger web presence. One major factor included in this revenue increase and expanded web presence is the customers’ ability to find CJ’s on-line...

...environment. Just as physicians can refuse to participate in this process, so can a pharmacist. One important factor is that at any point in this part of the process (or any part for that matter), an individual is allowed to change their mind, return the unused medication and choose not to proceed (Proposition 106). There are several important things that an individual must plan for before taking the final step and using the medication; two of those include insurance and death certificate information. According to one source, “The death certificate of an individual who uses the medication must be signed by the primary physician or hospice medical director and must list the underlying terminal illness as the cause of death” (United States, 2016). It was also made clear that insurance cannot be altered or denied because an individual is pursuing the Colorado End of Life Options Act. Ultimately, the individual is able to make the decisions regarding who is involved in the process without worrying about difficulties such as insurance and death certificates. Roles of Play The process of becoming qualified to end one’s life in Colorado clearly requires a multitude of steps and many individuals. That said, any physician, pharmacist, psychologist/psychiatrist can choose to not participate without penalty. It is also known that many religious organizations will not allow the participation of any of their staff members because it interferes with the religious portion of the organization....

...What is Open Source? Open Source is a philosophy regarding software copyright under which one software developer is granted permission to use another developer’s code without having to individually ask permission. It may also refer to the genre of software that encompasses that philosophy and utilizes open source licensing. Why is Open Source good? There may be several reasons why a developer may favor the Open Source philosophy. Primarily, Open Source fosters creativity. Software products can often require an overwhelming amount of code for one individual or even a few individuals to write, especially if all that code needs to be original so that it does not infringe on another person’s copyright. This may not be a problem for large companies with armies of engineers. But this can be an insurmountable hurdle for individuals or smaller groups. Open source licensing enables developers not only by providing sets of code that can be appropriated towards their final vision, but it also enables others to actively contribute to or improve upon another developer’s product. A great metaphor for the effect of Open Source is Wikipedia.org. Wikipedia’s content is licensed under a Creative Commons license, which achieves the same goals as open source software licenses. Much like encyclopedia volumes, which are collections of articles that contribute to the whole set, software products may be seen as a collection of coded functions. Traditionally, each article of an encyclopedia...

It can be reviewed by its effectiveness and efficiency, its fairness and receptiveness to the expectations of its population. It can be reviewed through its non-discriminatory economic contributions and suitability and lastly, it can be reviewed through its population’s overall health. To some it means a horrible painful way to die while others are able to look at it as a disease. The word Hepatitis means liver inflamation. The liver is a large, glandular, reddish-brown organ located in the upper right side of the abdomen. It consists of 5 lobes and secretes bile into the gallbladder and into the small intestine and aids in the digestion of lipids. Hepatitis is often caused by a virus. Hepatitis A, B, and C are the most common types in the United States but there is also a type D, E, and there was thought to be an F but after a thorough investigation they failed to prove its existence. ...52). As a fellow employee down on the totem pole, we are held to the same standard to act in good faith in whatever position that we hold. Our employers also have that same duty to take care of the employees that perform the day to day tasks to make the company successful. Whether it is through extra time off, increase in pay, or better benefits employers have an obligation to their employees. The relationship that employers have with their employee requires that duty of care is displayed by both parties. 1. Explain whether Jake’s actions are in or out of “his scope of employment.” In the video Jake, the service manager, provided a basic inspection of the cars along with the oil change. While the promotion only required a free oil change the inspection was within his scope of employment. Scope of employment refers to anything a person does in the ordinary course of doing his or her job (“Scope of Employment”). Generally, an act will be considered part of an employee’s employment if it is committed while he or she is performing services for the company or incident to the provision of services for the company (Segal, 1994). Herman (the employer) does not require Jake to do the inspections, but since Jake is professionally certified he must provide a duty of care and duty of loyalty to the business and its customers. Since Jake is certified it means that he stands by his work, and that he is competent to work as a mechanic. After the inspections Jake could find...
