Ils apprécient la mode. A savoir : la tenue décontractée est néanmoins privilégiée dans les jeunes entreprises.

Ensuite Elizabeth devra s’exprimer oralement :

- Sa langue : Les Français apprécient lorsqu’un étranger qui visite l’a France s’applique à parler leur langue. Cela donne immédiatement un courant de sympathie et de proximité entre l’étranger et le français.
- La conversation : Les Français sont très proches l’un des autres lorsqu’ils discutent entre eux.
- Culture : Les français apprécient lorsqu’on s’intéresse à leur pays. Il serait plus aisé de connaitre quelques évènements clés dans la région ou l’on souhaite se rendre.
- Politique : Les français aiment parler de politique mais il ne faut jamais leur demander pour quel parti ils sont ou pour qui ils ont voté.
- Dénomination : Ne jamais appeler quelqu’un par son prénom.

Une fois le premier contact établit, d’autres règles sont à suivre :
- Réunion : Par rapport aux américains, les réunions ne sont pas forcément structurées (avec des points clés à discuter dans te ordre). Le Français peut plus parler de faits que de solutions à prendre. Le Français peut faire durer une réunion plus longtemps que prévu si le sujet débattu n’a pas été résolu.
- Pendant le dîner : Si le déjeuner est important, il peut durer jusqu’à 3 heures. Souvent le déjeuner se fera avec des personnes importantes. C’est le moment idéal, où tout le monde est détendu, pour mieux apprendre à se connaître. D’ailleurs, le Français aiment apprendre à connaître une personne avant de passer aux affaires. L’Objectif de la réunion ne peut être discuté que lors de la fin du repas.
- La cuisine : Les français aiment la cuisine raffinée, à la maison comme en entreprise.
- Vie professionnelle et vie privée : les français dissocient les deux. Il serait mal venu de rendre visite à un français chez lui pour parler affaires.
- Organisation Hiérarchique : En France l’organisation hiérarchie est centralisée.
- Au travail : Les français est très individualiste et donc il est peu habitué à travailler ne groupe.
- Convaincre : Parler de ses propres expériences pour convaincre.
- A qui s’adresser ? Le français manager veut avoir le control de totu ce qu’il se passe. C’est à lui qu’il faut s’adresser en premier.

I chose this because I spent two years working in a restaurant located on the Chowan River in North Carolina for two years. The culture down there consisted of what the community referred to as river rats (folks who lived near the river and frequented such activities as fishing and boating). I wanted to contrast the two cultures and learn how differently the businesses operated. The restaurant I visited was the Golden China in the town of Franklin Virginia.
