Definition
Interdependence students have lots of differences with independence, but, it has common things with dependence. Bastable (2008) through Musinski (1999) explain that interdependence students are more maturity than before, they also have a higher self-esteem, the capability to give and receive stimulus, and they show more respect for others. But, the level of emotional and intellectual maturity related to interdependence that a student could have is not on par with his physical maturity. For example, someone can be 20 years old and still be emotionally dependent on others (Bastable and Dart, 2008).

Interdependence helps students to learn how to work with others. Students have the necessity to work in …show more content…
This can happen when they work as a team. They coordinate and work faster, they always encourage each other. Thanks to this way of working, they observe that their work is of quality and it is finished on time. As a result, the communication channels open, they can better meet with them (Amaro Ramayo, 2006).
How to move from one stage to another
Nowadays stage Nowadays, society pushes everyone to compete with each other to reach high or difficult goals. This modality of work is present in schools and families. Where Competitiveness is fostered in families, who want success from their members, and the school, where you work most of the time by yourself. It causes economic, social, cultural, intellectual, and physical differences between classmates. Make that everyone progresses in different velocities, some faster or better than others (Garriga, 2003).
Application of cooperative learning and the role of the professor
The cooperative learning method (CL) is based on the division of the class into small and heterogeneous groups and systems of positive interdependence through structures of tasks and rewards. The cooperation between students is important, it is not that only part of the team works, it must work in such a way that if someone does not help, the whole team does not achieve its objective.
