Also in 2010 the Institute of Medicine (IOM) in partnership with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) released a report that was two years in the making. The goal for the committee formed between the two entities was to produce a report that would address the lack of a roadmap for change needed to help steer the profession of nursing through the many coming changes in the modern American healthcare system.
