If the order cannot be received in a swift manner and across the proper channels then it can, and most likely will, delay the entire scope of the project. Increasing scope will ultimately result in decreased profits, lack of confidence from internal and external members and an increase in disorganization within the respective department. This paper addresses the current technologies and the deficiencies that can be improved upon by implementing a stricter and more efficient IT solution for order submission and processing. Brief Company Background RevLocal is a full service digital marketing agency that serves thousands of clients in the United States and Canada. The company helps small-to-medium sized business establish a strong internet presence within their respective markets through a multitude of strategies and...

Some call it the 3rd Industrial Revolution, the Digital Revolution, the Information Age, the Digital Era, the Communication Technology Revolution, or the Technology Age. Regardless of what it is called, technology has evolved our world into a Global Marketplace. I’m watching a mom and pop company strategize to transform the way they do business by preparing to adopt a software system to help them de-clutter, organize and handle the growing amount of business they are acquiring. They use cloud based software, but the capabilities are limited. Some companies struggle to innovate and collaborate to the next level of business which involves them getting organized and taking the leap to improve their technologies. Improving company systems and process ultimately leads to the improvement...

...Kelsey Campbell Course Project Proposal Managerial Application of Information- Technology MIS 535-60533 Using Mobile Devices to Improve Competitive Marketing Positioning I believe that the most innovative approach to coupling the use of mobile devices with Social Media will give online marketers better marketing positioning and improved competitiveness. The moving market of online shopping is currently dominated by a handful of names including Amazon, Apple, eBay, Google, and a splash of Yahoo. My approach is somewhat bias, as I am interning for eBay this summer with the Social Media team. However, I think that the information I gain through my intern project, and this class project will be legitimized, because it is an objective that I am, in real time, working to execute. (Ken Laudon and Jane Laudon. Management Information Systems, 12/e for DeVry University, 12th Edition.Bookshelf. Web. 22 July 2013) The problem is that although 66% of small business owners use mobile technology for their business (http://news.constantcontact.com/sites/constantcontact.newshq.businesswire.com/files/research/file/Mobile_Tech_Pulse_slidedeck_FINAL_3.pdf), it is still somewhat difficult to track in terms of actual correlated return and mobile friendly platforms all around. Social Media, according to Constant Contact, leads in mobile technology use at 73% while e-mail marketing follows at 71%. With better e-mail platforms being introduced such as @gmail, which virtually eliminates any...

...Project Financing Melissa Austin PJM 535 – Project Metrics, Monitoring, and Control Colorado State University – Global Campus Dr. Scott Burch August 23, 2015 Project Financing Project financing is a loan by a lender in which the debt gets paid back from the cash flow the project generates (Investopedia, 2015). With project financing of course risks are involved. The risks can fall into five different sections: financial, development, political, organizational, and execution (Kerzner, 2013). Let’s focus on two of the risk categories to explore in more detail, financial and development. Risks associated with financial risk are: secured versus unsecured debt, project versus corporate financing, and best timing for raising capital (Kerzner, 2013). A secured loan is protected by collateral and is usually the best way to obtain a large amount of money so the lender knows they will be repaid (GreenPath, 2015). A secured loan offers longer repayment terms, higher borrowing limits, and lower rates. Examples of secured loans include: auto loan, mortgage, or home equity line of credit. Unsecured loans are essentially the opposite of a secured loan in which the lender is taking a risk of lending with no collateral to recover (GreenPath, 2015). Examples of unsecured loans are credit cards, education, or personal loans. Project financing has a higher risk than corporate financing. Project financing relies on revenues that have not be made yet. Corporate financing can be extended...
