Is Critical Thinking The Same Thing as Being Ethnical?

What is the connection between critical thinking and ethics? Critical thinking is a form of judgment that has a particular purpose. It is the unbiased examination and assessment of a problem to form a decision. When using critical thinking, you are making decisions and solving problems based off what to believe and precede with. On the other hand, ethics bases off what is right and what is wrong to live life on the basis of the choices that you make.
Critical thinking and being ethical go hand in hand. To be ethical you need to go through the follow steps and really make sure that you are doing the right thing. There are six levels that together make critical thinking and being ethical work effectively.
The first level is remembering: Can I recall the key terms, facts, or events?
The second level is understanding: Can I explain this idea in my own words?
The third level is applying: Can I use this idea to produce a desired result?
The forth level is analyzing: Can I divide this idea into parts or steps?
The fifth level is evaluating: Can I rate the truth, usefulness, or quality of this idea—and give reasons for my rating?
The sixth level is creating: Can I invent something new based on this idea (Ellis 205)?
To get to any end decision of what is correct you must first go through the levels of critical thinking completely. I wanted to know where I stood ethically so I took the Ethical Lens Inventory, where I had to answer questions based off of my ethical opinion. Two important and very unique pieces that I learned about myself from this inventory were: my blind spot and my preferred ethical lens. My blind spot stated: Belief that motive justifies method. ...An Act that is Lowering Moral The No Child Left behind Act (NCLB) was put into effect by George W. Bush in 2001. The purpose of this act is to improve education and allow for all children to have equal opportunity to advance in their careers post high school. Early in this transgression there are several negative consequences already. The creators incorporate too many regulations, which cause inefficiency and counter-productiveness. Improvement is based on standardized tests that cannot measure intelligence wholly. Treating children as if they learn at the same rate does not help all students use their critical thinking skills. The act aims to close the achievement gap and allows for “no child to be left behind”, but it is not simply a one size fits all ordeal. Everyone has different experiences of learning at their fullest potential. America is failing with this provision and it will greatly affect the future of the country. Every state is directly involved with the make-up of the test; in which case some states make their exams significantly easier. The NCLB founders are advocates for transporting children who reach qualifying test exams to different schools with hopes of better teachers. Students that are better test takers get the opportunity to have free transportation to non-failing schools, but they are not supporting their local communities.
