Additional island amenities include the Recreation Center, Oasis Spa, Pepicello Fairways & Pro Shop, William C. Martin Botanical Gardens, pristine beach access, O’Dell Art Gallery, and various gift shops. ...Motor vehicles exempt from FBT As a general rule, an employer must pay FBT on any motor vehicle they provide to an employee, or their associate, for their private use. However, the Fringe Benefits Tax Assessment Act (FBTAA) provides for two possible exemptions from FBT for certain vehicles. Firstly, sub-sections 8(2) and 47(6) of the FBTAA provide that FBT will not arise where the private use by employees of certain vehicles is limited to ‘work-related travel’. This is defined in sub-section 136(1) to be travel between the employee’s residence and place of employment or other place at which employment duties are performed, and travel that is incidental to travel in the course of performing their employment duties. Vehicles which qualify for this exemption are those vehicles which are not classified as a car. A car is defined in sub-section 136(1) to be: • a motor car, station wagon, panel van, utility truck or similar vehicle; or • any other road vehicle designed to carry a load of less than one tonne or fewer than nine passengers. Secondly, a vehicle may qualify for exemption even though it is a car as defined (above), if it is a taxi, panel van, utility truck or any other road vehicle that, while designed to carry a load of less than one tonne, is not designed for the principal purpose of carrying passengers. MT 2024, as modified by an addendum current as at 1 June 2005, sets out those dual cab vehicles, single cab utes, four wheel drives and vans which...

...Virtual Teams: A Review of Current Literature and Directions for Future Research1 The DATA BASE for Advances in Information Systems Anne Powell Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Gabriele Piccoli Cornell University Blake Ives University of Houston Winter 2004 (Vol. 35, No. 1) Introduction Global competition, reengineered product life cycles, mass customization, and the increased need to respond quickly to customers’ needs are just some of the more pronounced trends currently driving organizational change (Grenier & Metes, 1995; Miles & Snow, 1986; Miles & Snow, 1992). One of the building blocks of these successful organizations is the Virtual Team. As a consequence, a growing number of organizations are implementing them or plan to implement them in the near future (Lipnack &Stamps, 1997; McDonough et al., 2001) and their use is expected to continue to grow (Carmel & Agarwal, 2001; McDonough et al., 2001). The increasing popularity of virtual teams has spurred a parallel growth in research examining various aspects of virtual team adoption and use. Recent research has studied virtual team inputs, socioemotional processes, task processes, and outcomes. Much of this literature focuses on comparisons of virtual teams and traditional teams. Virtual Teams Traditionally, both the terms “team” and “group” have been used to describe small collections of people at work. While the two terms are often used interchangeably...

...Elements of Website Design Shawneice Gary VCT/310 April 21, 2014 Professor Janelle Elias Elements of Website Design Design Content Navigation Usability Mobile/Desktop There are so many elements that are important when designing a website and they have their places. But the top five elements could be design, content, navigation, usability, and mobile/desktop because they all play a major role in designing the best website. The reason design is at the top of the list is simply because this is the theme, font, visibility, color scheme and such that get the web design going. Design is an important element because a lot of time has to go into this aspect to make sure the content for your website is in order and has order. When content comes into the equation. Content is an important element because it features all of the information the company wants their customers and viewers to know about. The key to a good website is providing relevant content that your readers want. According to Murton, (2013), “Good navigation works hand-in-hand with the look of your website. You should certainly spend a good amount of time considering how to set out the navigation. Where will it be located, how will you categorize each page, etc.,” (pg. 1). Usability is another important element because good websites are easy to navigate, and quick to load and provide visitors with useful information and resources. To make your site user friendly, make sure the resolutions and file sizes of images...

The Ford Optimus is a low emission vehicle, using the Ford EcoBoost 3.5L engine that gets 19 MPG city. The Ford Optimus cycle has the valve train technology (twin independent variable camshaft timing, or Ti-VCT). The 3.5l engine has 285 horsepower with 253 pounds of torque. Because of the lack of covering on the Ford Optimus cycle no air condition unit is required that means less emission to the environment. Another attributes to society for the Ford Optimus Cycle is the inexpensiveness of the vehicle. The inexpensive does not mean cheap, but it is price reasonable for young individual that attend school or living on his or her own, insurance rates will be less as well. The Ford Optimus will move at a rapid pace for the first part of it life cycle. The reason for the rapid pace is cause by the sales to rental cars companies and overseas markets. ...Sustainable HIV response in Viet Nam: Overview of Viet Nam HIV expenditures and future donor commitments Status of the HIV epidemic The HIV epidemic in Viet Nam remains in a concentrated stage. There are signs that it may have begun to stabilize over the last two years, with a decrease in HIV prevalence among key populations at higher risk, people who inject drugs (PWID) and female sex workers (FSW) in some provinces, while prevalence trends remain stable or have increased in other provinces. According to 2011 sentinel surveillance, HIV prevalence among PWID and FSW remains high, at 13.4% and 3% respectively; IBBS data indicate that prevalence among men who have sex with men (MSM) also remains high, at 16.7%. The distribution of HIV cases largely follows the distribution of these three populations, though they are not absent in non-urban communities). Overall adult HIV prevalence (ages 15-49) remained at 0.45% in 2011. Support from development partners Development partners providing technical assistance and funding for the national HIV response in Viet Nam include: * Bilateral: Australia (AusAID), Denmark (DANIDA), France, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Sweden (SIDA), the United Kingdom (DFID) and the United States of America (PEPFAR) * United Nations Organizations: ILO, IOM, UNAIDS, UNDP, UNESCO, UNFPA, UNICEF, UNIFEM, UNODC, UNV and WHO * Multilateral Organizations: the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis...

Both have had many years of experience in the restaurant and bar field, and will bring that experience to the table for the duration of the course. The company believes the best way to handle the training, is to treat everyone who participates as if they are brand new to the business. The company understands this may cause some of the more experienced participants to become frustrated, but the company believes everyone should start at the beginning and learn together. Instructional Strategies The management at Dan McGuinness believes it is important for the course to be informative, instructional, and just as important, fun. Much of the groundwork in the classes will be familiar to many of the more experienced personnel, however the company believes any member of staff coming into the business for the first time will benefit from the more experienced personnel. The first strategy to be put in place will be to set up learning teams; each team will include an experienced person as team leader. During the course of the program, there will be situational roll playing; this will be overseen by the experienced personnel because they will most likely have...

...Engl-101-93 30 March 2008 An Epidemic in South Africa He’s sitting down on a log with his hands on his face; feeling empty and full of pain. He’s in a small village in South Africa and all he can hear around him is weeping and crying; he and his sister will most likely not attend school anymore. The lifeless corpse being buried is his aunt; he and his younger sister had lived with her, unfortunately she died from HIV. His Mother also died of HIV two weeks before his aunt had passed, and his father abandoned him and his sister. He and his sister are now left with no relatives; fortunately, they will be living with a friend and his mother. This tragic story is just an example of the pain and despair some children have to go through in Africa. This chaos occurs throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. Millions of children in Africa everyday are being born with HIV and as a result, many children lose their parents or relatives. Each child knows that their life is limited and eventually they will die sooner or later. Although the HIV epidemic is spreading, some programs like UNAIDS were established to assist the worldwide fight against Aids. Many people have to take medication and live with this burden for the rest of their life. The spread of Aids in Africa has become an epidemic due to its progression and continuous spread despite the help, HIV has affected South Africa society and economy severely, and the epidemic continues to spread in South Africa due to the Governments lack of attention...
