I have lived a great life that, I am grateful to say, has been filled with many loving people I can call my friends. Perhaps one of the best friends I’ve ever had would be one Mr. Isaiah Fennel. Isaiah was a complicated person to understand but if I had to describe the first things to come to mind while thinking of him I would say he is argumentative, stubborn, and loyal to a fault. To begin with, Isaiah was and is to this day one of the most argumentative people I have ever met. He could argue about anything with anyone for no reason other than to simply prove his argument. Sometimes we, as in my entire group of friends and myself, would spend our entire lunch hour arguing about the topics of the day, typically something either religious or political, and no person was as great an arguer as Isaiah. He was great at using logic to prove his point in a lot of instances, unfortunately he often took the unpopular or disliked side of an argument just to get people angry. I remember during the 2012 election that he debated for Obama in our very conservative, republican consumed school, which he didn’t even particularly like.…show more content… For example, our teacher one time assigned us a very pointless set of problems just to keep us busy and Isaiah absolutely refused to do them. He didn’t see the point in them besides the obvious taking up of our time so he asked the teacher to explain it to him and she refused so he responded in kind by also refusing to work on the assignment. Needless to say, his stubbornness often got him into all kinds of different trouble but I can respect the courage it took for him to stand up for his thoughts, even though he sometimes took things a bit too
