Case Study Analysis
In the “Fast –Food Feast” case study an analysis will describe the production process observed. This case study will identify the customer expectations for the service and product. Answers will be given to the seven questions at the end of the case study. An opinion will be given concerning the process, effectiveness, efficiency, and measurements. Finally, recommendations will be given in improving the process.
Production Process This case study will show the production process for Whataburger and Jack in the box. Whataburger prides itself on its quality and freshness. Whataburger orders are prepared when the customer orders from the menu. Whataburger employees undergo a complete training course through Occupational Safety and Health Administration. This training course includes food and safety handling, proper preparation of food, and finally complete testing from OSHA. This testing must be complete before an employee is allowed to prepare food for customers to consume. The training that Whataburger employees undergo ensures that regulations in food safety are strictly regulated at all stages ensuring quality. Whataburger is well known for using fresh produce sliced daily to order. To ensure a clean work environment the management team inspects each work area after each shift. The management team at Whataburger ensures that quality standards are maintained by performing random checks during each shift.
Jack in the Box At Jack in the Box employees are trained on focusing on giving customers quick turnaround times. Customers like this because of efficiency and management like this because of the cost
