Collaborative Learning Community: ISLLC Standard 3 – Reflection Assignment

The ISLLC Standard 3 was a standard with a lot of information that all administrators should look at. As a collaborative group there were no major problems or concerns as far as assignments. This standard focuses more on management.
As I reflect on this standard it is true that you must have technical skills, human skills, and conceptual skills in order to be and successful administrators. As I reflect in the meaning of having technical skills. I think about all administrators having to be able to multi-task and juggle a lot of the school responsibilities as it pertain to being the instructional leader for the campus.
Before any schools system can be establish. You must create a working and learning environment that is going to be beneficial for both students and staff. By creating a safe learning and working environment that is nurturing for staff and students, will allow for the development of others to perform at a high standards and achieve student and teacher growth.
Looking at the major functions of the school system. My personal experience as an Assistant Principal is that we must create a group of operating systems that will assist in obtaining the school mission and goals. As I look at my school admission and enrollment process, we have to create and environment in which it is customer service oriented and one that will aid in the process of recruitment and enrollment. All processes must be systematic in which it can be monitored and adjusted at any time to help benefit the function of school operations. What this mean is that at my school is that the registrar, admission clerk, and the assistant principal who is over enrollment must work closely together.
