List three things that a Web designer must consider and understand about the purpose or target audience prior to site development. Why do you feel each of these is important to a successful plan? Answer 1 List three things that a Web designer must consider and understand about the purpose or target audience prior to site development. Why do you feel each of these is important to a successful plan? When designing a website it’s important to understand the objective of the website being designed. Is the website being used as an information portal? Or is it being used as a way of generating a call to action or other goal? If the website is a shopping cart, is the site designed properly for ease of use and customer performance? What type of website to use is very important also? What is the customer looking for when they arrive at the site? The audience is the key to getting it correct, and if the demographics of the users are wrong the site will never prosper and be a good tool for either data or information. Designing a site takes time and patience along with research. Easy to use web pages gives the user a fast and informative way to surf your website while finding what they need and allowing the user to have a wonderful experience. When this happens the user is more likely to return to your website and tell others as well. Answer 2 I think three things...

...Linux+ Study guide Chapter 1 Shell Facts The Linux shell is the Command Line Interface (CLI) or Text User Interface (TUI) that administrators use to control a Linux operating system. Users and programs use the shell to send commands to the system. A shell might be opened inside a Graphical User Interface (GUI), or might be the sole method used to run the computer. Although most Linux distributions now include a graphical interface, and many administration tools have been converted to a graphical format, many tasks are best performed from the command prompt. In addition, while graphical elements vary between distributions, shell commands are more likely to be consistent between distributions. The following table describes many common shell types: Shell Type | Description | bash | The Bourne-again shell (bash) is the standard shell used in most Linux computers. It uses commands similar to a UNIX shell. Bash includes features such as: * Command completion when pressing the tab key * Command history * Improved arithmetic functions | sh | The Bourne shell is an earlier version of the Bash shell, and is similar in many ways. Sh is the original shell created by Steve Bourne. | ksh | The Korn shell was developed by David Korn. Ksh has scripting features not found in bash. | csh | The C-shell uses syntax similar to syntax used in the C programming language. | tcsh | The tcsh shell is an improved version of csh. It offers command line editing and completion features...

...Kudler Fine Foods Website Redesign Robert Cooley, Matt Donnelly, Garrett Perea, Chris Richards WEB236 May 1, 2012 Steven Clayden Kudler Fine Foods Website Redesign Design Principles Kudler Fine Foods website needs a redesign. The website has no real good information other than directions to their stores, and while this information includes maps, it lacks store hours. Based on designs of other food stores like AJ’s Fine Foods (AJ's Fine Foods, 2012) , Sprouts Farmers Market (Sprouts Farmers Market, 2012) and Whole Foods (Whole Foods Market, 2012) , the website is lacking in many areas that would lead customers from website to brick and mortar store. One of the key areas of the current site that needs to be addressed is the very large graphic that takes up a good portion of every page. The graphic is constantly cycling through different images and some customers may find that annoying, especially because it takes up a large portion of the users screen. While the rest of the site is easy to use and the colors work well together the information within the site is stale and dated. Another aspect that needs to be addressed is the information contained within each link. In looking at the links, the home link would be the one that needs the least amount of change. It should be friendly and have links to social networks. It also needs a search option so customers can easily find specific information. Another change that is needed is to add a link to weekly specials that...

...Kenndrick Green Course: IT/236 Intro to Web Design Instructor: Penny Glassman June 14, 2013 There are many concern you should be aware of when it comes to building your web site. Today I will like to touch down on copyrighting, to inform you on some of the copyright laws and perhaps give a few pointers on how to overcome them if you, your self happen to be face with these problem. A party is guilty of copyright infringement if they violate one of the five exclusive rights given to copyright owners under the Copyright Act. Included in those rights are the right to prevent others from reproducing (or copying) a work, publicly displaying a work, or distributing a work. An Internet service provider can also be found liable for copyright infringement even when they are not directly engaged in the copying of protected materials. In other words be cautious of the work you put out or pay for. When it comes to images it is a very simple rule do not steal some one else work. There are some cases where the internet will provide images you can use, but be sure to give credit where credit is do. If I write a song and let you use it, I will wont recognition that I wrote it. Uop It/236 Final Paper

...Over the last nine weeks there are many different things that we learned about the creation and design of a website for a company. We learned how a target audience can effect the site traffic to how the different colors and fonts can make a big difference on how a person views the site. The site that have chosen to examine and evaluate was that of Apple.com. There are many different things about the site that I really liked and there was very little that I did not like after thoroughly going over the site. First of all I need to say that I tend to be on the bias side as I am an avid Apple user and have been for quite sometime. When I first visit the site I find that the colors and animations are top rate as one would come to expect from a company like Apple. The stylistic use of fonts and color is vibrant and eye catching so much where that it draws you into the site and want to see more. It is very interactive and has been very thought out on where things need to be places such as links and interactive pop ups as you browse the site. One good thing about the site is that if you are an apple owner such as a Macbook or iMac the site is more interactive with the computer itself. Finding information about new systems or even ones that you have already is very easy and is just a click away. The uniformity of the fonts and styles is very good and keeps its very easy on your eyes and does not make you strain to look at things or confuse you with too much going on. As far...
