...Does IT matter or not? In a world where IT was perfectly ubiquitous Carr would be justified in his argument that IT does not matter. However, Carr’s argument is incomplete. Carr neglects to look at how the various companies manage and use their IT resources. In a world where IT was perfectly ubiquitous, IT would not matter, the management of that IT resource would however matter a great deal to determine its strategic advantages. It should also be noted that the development of IT and the creation of new IT have not reached its end and will not do so in any short period of time. IT, in its nature, allows for continual development as each new development opens new avenues of Research and Development. Each new development generally takes the form of proprietary technology, for a short while at least, allowing for strategic advantages. Carr’s belief that these new proprietary developments cannot sustain a strategic advantage for any company is true, but again it should be noted that the IT industry is in a constant state of change. It is the companies, like Microsoft, Hewlett Packard and Sun Microsystems with their ability to constantly make progress in the development of IT, which have the strategic advantage. The general sentiment amongst IT professionals is that IT matters a great deal. This statement is liable to a great deal of bias as to state otherwise is equal to asking IT professionals to concede that they, their jobs and livelihood, do not matter. In fact, however...

...Nicholas G Carr in his article raises some key issues often discussed in our day-to-day lives. How important is Information Technology (IT) in our lives? Does it ease or complicate our activities. The author shares his opinion that Information Technology should be treated as a commodity and as a strategic position is losing its value. The author compares IT with electricity and railroads and concludes that they follow the same path. He illustrates phases of electricity and railroads and how they moved from having high opportunities to becoming invisible so much so that they did not matter. The author feels that IT does not have a competitive advantage and the importance given to IT management should be reduced. Although, the author raises some valid points I disagree with the author. In my opinion, Information Technology is an enabler and if used effectively and efficiently can bring remarkable success and help achieve a sustainable competitive advantage for an organization. In order to prove his point, the author distinguishes between proprietary technologies and infrastructural technologies. According to him, proprietary technology can reap high profits but infrastructural technologies are meant to offer more value when shared than when used in isolation. After few years the infrastructural technologies become known to everyone, thus eventually becoming a commodity and losing value. The author describes IT as such an infrastructural technology that is deemed to become...

...But If you can teach something doesnt that mean that you have mastered that skill? And then if this person is able to be teaching and they aren’t the best at their craft and haven’t mastered this skill. Doesnt that set the children that they are teaching at a disadvantage? If this is so then they will not be on the same playing field as the child that goes to a private school and is taught by a teacher that has mastered their craft. The child with the public school teacher will have to work 10 times harder to be on the same level as the other child with the oppurtunity to be taught by a teacher that has mastered their...

...reality loving someone is a feeling everyone will feel. Whether it be with a person, place , or thing. Opinions on being in love have a variety of meanings. My opinion of being in love is caring about someone so much that your happiness doesnt matter, just theirs. The only thing that matters is that , that person is genuiely happy. Its a feeling that runs deep it conquers everyting, Nothing else matters. Just that person and yourself. The phrase often used to describe the stage where your starting to fall in love someone. Trust me, when your in this stage, you will know. You constantly think about that person and can't seems to get them off of your mind. Your heart skips a beat whenever you see them and everything little thing that person does, maybe just a "hi" can brighten up your day in any way possible. You will day dream about him or her, the last person you think before you go to sleep and your first thought when you wake up in the morning. And when someone hurts that person , you just want to kill and crush that person up. But when you know that you want to spend the rest of your life with this person, have a family with that person, that's when you know your actually "in love". Even when you guys get into fights, you still love them no matter what. And even if something went wrong, and you guys claims to let each others go, the truth is you can't let them go. Will alway be in your heart and you know it. There's not a day that goes by that you don't think of them, or wonder...

Very Difficult Questions' | … Gingrich: Life Doesn't Begin at Conception Because That Would 'Open Up ... Very Difficult Questions' By Terence P. Jeffrey December 4, 2011 Subscribe to Terence P. Jeffrey's posts (CNSNews.com) -In an interview with ABC News on Friday, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said he believes that human life does not begin at conception but at "implantation and successful implantation" because if you say life begins at conception "you're going to open up an extraordinary range of very difficult questions." Gingrich also said that his "friends" who take "ideological positions" that human life does begin at conception "don't then follow through on the logic of" that postion. Gingrich's statement was criticized by Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), who like Gingrich is seeking the Republican presidential nomination, and by commentaries posted on pro-life websites. Gingrich made his statement in an interview with ABC News's Jake Tapper in West Des Moines, Iowa. Many of which most have been translated into more than 25 languages. Does IT Matter is considered as a book that changes the thoughts of a individual about technology and its strategies. It details how innovative, monetary, and aggressive powers are joining to change the information technology and the innovation it plays in business, with significant ramifications for information technology administration and speculation and additionally system and association. IT is seen as the most recent in a progression of extensively embraced advancements that have reshaped industry in the course of recent hundreds of years from the flow to the broadcast and the phone to the electric generator and the interior ignition motor. For a brief period, as they were being incorporated with the framework of business, every one of these advancements opened open doors for forward-looking organizations to increase genuine points of interest. ...towards black people. The police should keep some type of report of the stops they make. They can start monitoring the stops by just doing their jobs the right way.Is this right? This is suppose to be America, the land of the free. They really need to stop pulling people over because of the color of their skin. As a law enforcement officer, its clearly just their job. The should look at everyone the same no matter the race of the person. Also truth be told people of all races commit some the same crimes. So who's to say that a specific race should be profiled in such manner. Another type of racial profiling revolves around terroist. One event that happend September 11, 2001. Two planes went into the twin towers located in New York City. Thousands of innocent people were killed. Due to this event a person who is Pakistan or Arabian heritage could be questioned for hours at an airport, before they are allowed to travel.. How could they just assume that a terroists would have that type of appearance. I'm sure that a terroists would be smarter and choose someone that doesnt fit the description ,one that wouldnt be easily signaled out. Racial Profiling has become something that every individual takes apart in. I don't believe this will every come to an end. People tend to profile who they want to be...

...does not state a specific period of time or release date, but just a range of time, such as "five-to-ten years." It also means that you are given a minimum sentence, but not a max. Determinate sentencing is a fixed term or incarceration is imposed. It means that you are sentenced for a given time, 25 years, and come hell or high water, you will be free after 25 years. The Sentencing for a criminal conviction can take many forms, and a conviction doesnt always mean a trip to prison. Alternative sentences can include different combinations of the following: a suspended sentence, probation, fines, restitution, community service and deferred adjudication/pretrial diversion. Judges typically determine whether to impose alternative sentences based on the type and severity of the crime, the age of the defendant, the defendants criminal history, the effect of the crime on the victims, and the defendants remorse. In 1994, California voters enacted the “Three Strikes and You're Out” which imposes a life sentence for almost any crime, no matter how minor, if the defendant had two pror convictions for crimes defined as serious or violent by the California Penal Code. According to official ballot materials promoting the original Three Strikes law, the sentencing scheme was intended to “keep murders, rapists, and child molesters behind bars, where they belong.” However, today, more than half of inmates sentenced under the law are serving sentences for nonviolent crimes. Many have tried to...

...1. Govenrment agencies such as HRSA(Health Resources And Services Administration) have a huge inpact on cost, acess, and quality healtcare delivery. The health resources and services administration provides health care services for low income and uninsured people. In the year of 2013 HRSA funded at least 1202 health care centers accross the nation. I Think we need more than that to be honest. America judges you by what class you are in. Theres low class, middle class and high class. A big percentage of families in america are considered low class which is considered low income. I believe in fairness,It doesnt matter who you are if someone is in need of medical attention as a healthcare worker its your job to help them regardless if they are insured or not....
